Palin To Kerry: "Why The Long Face?" (VIDEO)

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin took a shot at John Kerry when speaking to troops in Kosovo.

The Massachusetts Democrat had joked that he wished Palin had gone missing instead of South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford.

"He looked quite frustrated and he looked so sad," Palin responded. "I just wanted to reach out to the TV and say, 'John Kerry, why the long face?'"

I heard her say in her speech that she was headed to Germany next. What business does the governor of Alaska have in Germany and who is picking up the tab for this?

It is quite a disgrace that the "guv" uses a speech at a military base to stump. I would like to see some of the higher-ups in the military see this tape to see that she is using the military for a political stage.

I also like how she said that her son "chose" to enlist in the military. We all know this is a blatant lie.

U.S. Vice President Joe Biden has assured Kosovo's ethnic Albanian leaders that the territory's declaration of independence from Serbia will not be reversed. The vice president concluded his three-day tour of the Balkans Thursday before going on to Lebanon.

Vice President Biden's visit to Kosovo's capital, Pristina, is the first by a senior U.S. official since the former territory declared independence from Serbia last year.

Amid a welcoming crowd, Biden reaffirmed previous U.S. statements that an independent Kosovo is a priority in Washington. "Kosovo's independence was and remains today, in my view and in the view of my government, the only viable option for stability in the region. And your independence, as I have said in the countries I have visited, your independence is irreversible, absolutely irreversible," he said.

The AK Army Nat"l Guard aviation AND infantry troops have a great many former military men and women who joined the Guard once their enlistment ended in the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, etc. My husband is a former Marine (4 years active duty, 2 years Marine Reserves), served 24 years in the AK Nat"l Guard; and was deployed to Kosovo and Iraq before retiring.

John Kerry is a decorated war veteran. It was in very poor taste to diss a not only a sitting U.S. Senator, but a decorated war veteran to boot"AND ON FOREIGN SOIL! As Governor, she should know that many of these soldiers are former active duty military. She ultimately was showing disrespect to the very men and women she addressed in Kosovo. She should have held her tongue; but you know her"she never misses an opportunity to put her foot in her mouth once it"s open.

What"s even more disgusting; she wants to be POTUS and Commander in Chief of the armed forces; yet she"ll take a cheap shot at a veteran. She"s an embarrassment to Alaska and to the Nation.

TeamSarah doesn't make a distinction between "scary" and "scared". THEY are scary; their intolerance breeds some pretty treacherous language on many topics. They choose to believe that others are scared of Palin because she is "awesome" (or other such adjective).

Time to tell them that we are not scared of her; we are repulsed by her. She is not now nor will be a national political leader in this country. She may get out of Alaska, but not because we vote her into national office.

For one who claims to be a Christian, she certainly exemplifies how not to be a Christian. But hey at least she got that part down.

Someone needs to revoke her christian membership for willful disregard of the teachings and blatant and cosistent displays of self-indulgence, falsehoods, unethical behavior--as well as just plain st u p i d i t y.
