Joe Jackson: Michael Will NOT Be Buried At Neverland

LOS ANGELES — Michael Jackson's father, Joe, says planning for the pop star's funeral is awaiting results of a second autopsy.

Joe Jackson told reporters outside the family's Los Angeles compound at midday Monday that the second autopsy is under way, but he expects results soon. The county coroner conducted an autopsy on Friday but has deferred a decision on the cause of death.

Joe Jackson denies reports that his son will be buried at his Neverland ranch. He says, "That's not true."

He also says that Michael Jackson's children are happy and are in the company of other children about their own age.

The Rev. Al Sharpton, who spent the morning with the Jacksons, says consideration of how to celebrate the legacy of the pop star must be done carefully.

Only the Creator decides when it is a person's time to go home. Michael Jackson was called back to his true home. He earned a good place and I am sure he is at peace. He shared his incredible gift with the world and brought happiness to countless people, if that isn't a good deed, i dont know what is.

My prayers are with the family, including Joe Jackson because I am sure that he is hurting even more than everyone else. He just doesn't show it, this incredibly talented man was his son, afterall.

That information is in his will..... along with the notable absence of your name next to any financial offerings.

I saw the interview on BET. He didn't seem too upset. IMO He really didn't have to be there and either did Janet. I think it was too soon for the family to address the public, before the funeral. A written statement would have been sufficient. I'm also surprised how involved he is, when MJ clearly had issues with his father.

Please allow these people to make decisions about how they will mourn the death of their own loved one. They do not have to take directives from you or I. This is not your average ordinary family. They have been in the limelight for decades and it is probably apart of who they are. There decisions will reflect that reality....for although it would be strange or unusual for you or I to take that position....it is not all that unusual for them. They already stated that the rest of the family was not strong enough to come and that she was acting as a representative of the family to say thank you to all the fans that offered their love and support. It was quite a brief statement and if anyone did not see the pain in her eyes...they have to have cataracts on their eyes and callouses on their hearts.

I saw Don Lemon's interview with Joe Jackson on the red carpet at the BET Awards also, and I must say that his demeanor hardly struck me as one of a grieving father. He came off as a hustler. I was appalled and embarrassed for the Jackson family. It was only when Janet Jackson made her heartfelt comments on the stage that I felt relief that somebody in that family showed grace and dignity. Joe does not.

Just like Elvis, Jackson will make more money dead than he did when he was alive. Elvis, like Jackson did not have that much money in the bank when he died and now the Elvis estate is worth millions and his daughter will never have a worry.

Neverland could be another Graceland...but Jackson did not own it when he died, he had to sell it because he was in deep debt. The only thing the Jackson family appears to have inherited is a big financial mess.
