CNN said they did a Poll asking how the American people feel about Obama's handling of MJ's d eath, for some reason they never got to saying the results of that poll but I couldn't believe my ears when I heard that they actually did a poll on that!!!!! Politico and CNN embarrassing themselves again.

Are you KIDDING me? He's being criticized because of a letter of condolence to a freaking entertainer? Michael Jackson died and it was sad, but to criticize the President of the United States because of the content and speed of his condolence letter is ASININE. Get a grip, people.

Are you freaking kidding me? Iran is burning and Iraq is still going on. National unemployment. And too little or too late on letter for the Jacksons. Re: a man who paid out huge sums to stop child molestation trials?
Unbelievable.

Dose it really matter! I don't even care that he wrote a letter to the Jackson's. Besides that was his personal choice. If he did, it wasn't as the president it was more likely as a fan. Anyway, if he did it as the President of the United States of America, he'd have to write one to every celebrity 's family that died.

Should he also send condolences to the Fawcett, Carradine, Mays, Storm, and McMahon families? Is the point that Mr. President should spend all his time writing condolences and less time doing his job? Condolences are a nice gesture, not an obligation.

How utterly embarassing for Politico. They're grasping at strawmen.

Why does it matter what the President's reaction was? New flash: He's kind of got his hands full right now.

So now we're going to judge our political leaders on their responses to happenings in the celebrity world? Come on people! I swear, media morons are coming up with multitudes of stupid crap to poke at Obama just because he's the first non-white/priviledged president. Can we focus on real issues here?

Did the Jacksons send him something when his grandmother died?

Any earlier and it would've seemed opportunistic and irrelevant. I'm a Jackson fan, and personally I don't think Obama's timing matters. People should just give condolences appropriately, there's far worse out there.
