Muslims (and other religions as well - but mostly muslims) are so easily angered by so many things. Sex, clothing, women, cartoons, books... and basicaly anyone who is not a muslim. get over it! get out of the middle ages and join the XXI century. who knows? you guys might even enjoy it. religion sucks!

Some on this thread seem to be turning the discussion into a critique on 'America Through the Ages'. I'm reading that Americans are hypocritical criticizing the poor Muslim immigrants of Sweden because of our own history with Native Americans, African Americans, etc. Someone actually posted that America 'set a precedent for the world' with our treatment of Native Americans. Hello? Read up on the history of Europe, Rome, Greece. Do you know how the Aztecs and Mayans became as powerful as they were? They were better at wiping out their competition!

I'd like to ask these self-haters to name some nations throughout all of history that weren't founded by the displacement or slaughter of another group. Has this not gone on since man began walking on two feet?

And I'm not saying any of this is something that should be repeated or applauded. Nor should it be erased or whitewased from history. We always hope to learn from the past and not repeat the mistakes. Of course we never do, but we try.

But, here in 2009 where we now live, what is the point of criticizing what occured in the 16th century with regard to what is in this story?

I frankly do not understand why any non-muslim country allows any Muslims to migrate. Has a group they are a lot more trouble that they are worth.

There are over one million muslims living in Southern California. They tend to be very hardworking, very family oriented, and very moral. Insteading of being a lot of trouble, they contribute very positively to the economy and the society.

Have you every wondered why that is? Psychology research has shown that most Muslims think that the whole world judges them badly, no matter what they do because of the actions of a few (which the far majority of Muslims do not associate themselves with because they have violated Islamic Law too many times) and most believe that the War on Terror is actually a war on Islam. This, over time, creates a climate of fear and hate and defensiveness. Was there any such Muslim trouble before the political climate created after 9.11.
