Love Means Never Having To Say You're Resigning: A Reenactment Of The Sanford Affair (VIDEO)

Andy Cobb is back with the second installment of his conservative erotica series "Drill Baby Drill," which explores Republican writings on the topic of sex. He chose Glenn Beck as his first subject, which scarred us for life, and now he's moved on to Mark Sanford. The South Carolina governor recently admitted to having an affair after dropping off the face of the earth for almost a week and not telling anybody where he was. His staff guessed that he was "hiking the Appalachain Trail," which has become a new euphemism for sex amongst those of us who have the humor of a 12-year-old boy.

An affair isn't a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but Sanford is such a ripe target because of the bile he spewed at Clinton over the Lewinsky affair and his insistence that gay marriage is not ok. It's hard to be a convincing "defender of marriage" when you're boning someone other than your wife.

I want to know which news outlet is going to get the money s.h.o.t. this weekend of Sanford on the beach in Florida with a b.i.k.i.n.i b.a.b.e. in the frame. Of all the places to go, being anywhere near a place where there could be women in b.i.k.i.n.i.'s is not a better political move, I'd say.

Jenny gives another interview (catch the setup here) yesterday and she spoke directly to the g.a.y. element in all this or lack of one. They are just tag-teaming each other politically in all this.

Lastly, when is another ultimate or non ultimate line going to come forward? Just a matter of time, however, if not an ultimate though, then it bears the question, what kind were they? Ewwwwwwww....(Jenny get tested)

I loved it when Eugene Robinson and Keith Olberman were talking about Sanford and about his 'soul mate' comment.

Eugene ironically said that it seemed that Mark Sanford was out 'looking' for a soul mate for a long time.

Gee he finally found one to take his mind off his boring life as gov, husband and father.

Puts Sanford's deluded love life of into some mature perspective.
