This is a video I found on YouTube about Michael Jackson`s vitiligo. It`s very sad. He said it on Oprah. No one believed him. I don`t blame him if he didn`t want to show everybody, that`s his personal business, but how very sad. I feel bad that I didn`t believe him. Just goes to show that there are things going on in people`s lives beyond what we see. Whether people are walking around with physical scars, or mental scars, or emotional scars, we might never know. Maybe it`s best just to assume that we don`t know the whole story and stop with the snap judgements. Or maybe with the judgements at all. Seeing this video made me realize that we just can`t know what people are dealing with, so it`s best to have some compassion.

I'll never understand why Michael did what he did to his face but it's time to let it go.
Clearly he thought this was attractive along with the crotch grabbing. Such an exciting young symbol for American urban youth; in fact world wide youth.
He could not FACE reality.
Can we please end this long, national masturbatory obsession with the life and death of this man?????
enough already
Michael Jackson started with some simple plastic surgery and as it progressed it ended in neurotic self-mutilation. It's a very sad visual account of his progressing mental illness. I think MJ suffered greatly and this all makes me so sad.
but you, like so many, are working from the assumption that Michael was unhappy with the look that he had achieved. he obviously went to a great deal of trouble and expense over time to arrive at that appearance, and then accentuated it with cosmetics. i'm curious why you and so many others think he wasn't pleased with his make-over?
Why don't we start by questioning YOUR premise.
Why do you assume Michael actually was pleased with his 'makeover'??
Why would anyone hack away at their own face until they looked like a burn victim I ask you? It's like watching a horrible Stephen King movie only this is real. The man was handsome from birth but made himself look dreadful. How can anyone look at what he did as a positive thing I ask you? It's a perfect story of someone who had more money than common sense and obviously had some kind of self hatred to put himself though all this surgery. The man was very good looking and ended up looking like a Frankenstein's monster. His nose bled because he hacked it away so there was nothing to cover the cartilage. It almost makes me cry
And I'm sorry but all of the people commenting on Micheal's bleached skin I have just one question.Do you tan?Be honest
yes, i do, but not on purpose. it just happens to me this time of year, but i don't have a problem with my skin's response to the sun, just as i don't have a problem with Michael Jackson's choice to look like a white lady. but why, do you have a problem with Michael's choice?
Why is everybody focused on Micheal Jackson's looks.Have you checked out Joan Rivers lately?Madonna? The cast of Desperate Housewives?Bruce Jenner?Anyone over 40 in Hollywood has had work done!!
good point! Madonna actually frightens me a little. and the cast of Desperate Housewives are terrifying to behold!
Give it a bloody rest, already.
So let's see. Not to make excuses for him, but before judging him for his looks ask yourself what would you do if your face was the third most recognizable face on the planet, next to Pope John Paul II (at that time) and Queen Elizabeth, you grew up emotionally abused by your father and brothers about the size of your nose, your skin disorder makes you look white with a black man's features, and plastic surgery, a common staple of Hollywood, is at your disposal as a quick fix to your insecurities and a boost to your appearance which next to your talent is a commodity to your career, and you are the most successful person alive in your career, and as is commonly the case your plastic surgery requires corrective surgery which requires more corrective surgery. I'm just saying I can see how this could happen.
