Eric Holder Getting Emergency Oral Surgery

WASHINGTON — Attorney General Eric Holder had emergency oral surgery Thursday to remove a cracked tooth.

Holder spokesman Matthew Miller said the attorney general cracked his molar Wednesday night and went to a dentist in pain in the morning. Miller said the dentist told Holder the tooth needed to be removed right away, and he had a 75-minute procedure before being sent home to rest.

Miller said Holder won't be able to fly for several days. He canceled an afternoon trip to Colorado, where he was scheduled to appear at the Aspen Institute for a discussion with CBS "Face the Nation" host Bob Schieffer.

Miller said he did not know how Holder cracked the tooth.

I've had a cracked molar for 2.5 yrs. I had it repaired three times. I've spent at least a couple of thousand on fixing it. I wished I had had it pulled instead. The repairs cracked and without dental insurance (or medical for that matter), it sits in my mouth until I can save up to have it pulled. Thankfully­, a nerve isn't exposed. Isn't being American with no insurance just grand.

Emergency Oral Surgery.

Folks, get a grip. People break teeth every day, it's uncomforta­ble and an awful nuisance but this is a story my high-schoo­l Journalism teacher would've laughed off our 4-page weekly. What's next--Limb­augh goes to get a boil lanced and the doctor realizes it's actually his brain?
