A rep for the Spider-Man star confirms that the latest addition to the family was named Otis Tobias Maguire. No explanation was given for the name Otis, though the baby's middle name of Tobias is the formal version of the actor's first name.

Couldn't care less about his son's name, not my kid. However, during the previews before "Public Enemies" this weekend, there was an AMAZING preview for his new movie called "Brothers" with Jake Gyllenhaal and Natalie Portman. I swear Spidey is getting his first Oscar for this performance. I was so riveted by the preview that I couldn't even concentrate on PE.

That is actually the name (Otis) my husband and I chose for our first born son, when we first got married. I'm currently pregnant now.

I am quite surprised by the widespread dislike of the name. Oh well, means it won't be the next popular thing.
