Rupert Murdoch spoke last week with TheStreet.com. In the interview the media tycoon denied interest in the New York Times, dissed Twitter, and dug into CNBC.

Question: Are you annoyed you don't own CNBC?

Murdoch: No

Question: Why not?

Murdoch: Because we're going to enjoy the competition. We have to get wider distribution and that takes time. We are further ahead with Fox Business than we were at this stage with Fox News, and Fox News today is one of our very greatest and largest assets.

Question: Why don't you hire away all the CNBC on-air people?

Murdoch: We don't think they're all that good. There are some good ones, but that'll be up to [FNC/FBN chairman] Roger Ailes. We create or we discover previously undiscovered talent and make them into stars.

FOX news is forced on viewers in hotels and fitness clubs and where ever packaged cable programming is sold to captive audiences. This kind of Repub strategic marketing is what helps to give fascist FOX news (at least 60% is reactionary, unbiased and far right) its high ratings. FOX news is propaganda plain and simple. It runs 24/7. Murdoch's fascist radio empire is another story. There's a right wing station covering every region.

Citizenship, Mr. Murdoch, Official Propaganda Minister of the Bush Dictatorship.

Invade our airwaves and work with Bushist subverters to overthrow our nation? Not now, not ever, man without a country.

Yank the propagandist's citizenship and shut Fox down.

CNBC is way too political for my taste. Good financial analysis should be able to overcome any political environment. You take account of it, but for the most part it really doesn't matter as much as people pretend it is. Further, their best asset, was allowed to be thrown under the bus and they have done little to prop him back up. Yes, since the Daily Show, Cramer has been dead on. He revamped his staff and is giving 1000% better advice. Given this, CNBC is taking a more political angle and going with analyst that do nothing more than just rail against the administration.

For instance, they are now complaining about inflation. Fine, we will all probably going to deal with some pretty heavy inflation soon, but it's needed. Inflation spurred by cheaper dollars, can help up pay off debt at a cheaper rate and expand our production output due an increase exporting. This can help us move from a paper to a more stable production based economy. In essence, this inflation period will help us start producing stuff that people want to buy overseas. On CNBC they don't seem to understand this. They are too busy telling people to buy gold to take the time to understand this.

Master Murdoch, perhaps 'tis wiser to examine your own losing-THOUSANDS-by-the-hour, semi-scurrilous 'business channel' (link to related story here: http://www.historycommons.org/entity.jsp?entity=fox_business_channel_1 ), before expressing critiques of other channels..those glass houses are awfully drafty, after the stones are done flying through..! ;) ...
