Mara Carfagna, Former Topless Model, Berlusconi's Escort To G-8 Meeting (PHOTOS)

Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi received plenty of attention a few months ago for stacking Parliament and his cabinet with former beauty queens and attractive actresses, something even his wife, Veronica Lario, publicly attacked him about.

No doubt Lario, who has filed for divorce, would be similarly unamused to learn that Berlusconi has chosen as his escort for the upcoming G-8 meeting a former topless model, Mara Carfagna. She also happens to be his "opportunities minister."

From the Telegraph:

The one-time Miss Italy contestant will be supported in the role by another attractive young member of the cabinet, education minister Maria Stella Gelmini.

Mr Berlusconi is said to have chosen Miss Carfagna and Miss Gelmini to reward them for being "staunch champions" as he has battled allegations that he slept with a high-class call-girl at his mansion in Rome last November. Together they will guide the G8 wives around Rome and the mountain town of L'Aquila 65 miles away, where the summit is being held from Wednesday to Friday..

Beautiful women can be intelligen­t too. There are many female college students who fund their education by working in strip clubs. So she showed her boobs. Big deal. Suppressed sexuality is a problem in the U.S. as evidenced by this country's obsession with internet porn. A gun in anyone's hand other than the military or law enforcemen­t is much more obscene than the sight of a boob. I would rather have a beautiful intelligen­t woman on my arm than an insecure intelligen­t one.

Dear friends, I live in Italy and i'm ashamed of my government chief, mentality ideals and goals.
But it's not a very long time you americans had a chief as G.W.Bush and you kept for 8 good years.
Lookin' at the the polls it seemed unbelievab­le, that much of americans could follow a guy that seemed to me embarassin­g . But it did happen ! Can you possibly understand that ?......

Berlusconi is the laughing stock of Europe. He's also incompeten­t in his job. He set up the G8 meeting in L'Aquila, which is about the worst choice anyone could make. Take a read-

This is an insult to our First Lady and the other G8 wives they have to be in the same room with these BIMBOS!!!! Berlusconi picks two from his "harem" (laughingl­y known as his Cabinet), put them in suits (like that's suppose to class 'em up) and carry on as if they were Italy's first lady. Do any of these women have the educationa­l and job experience background that would be needed for these jobs? As for you guys who think Silvio is one lucky dude, you are the same ones who would not accept this from America's First Lady. Any presidenti­al candidate whose wife has a similar background as these models would not be taking the Presidenti­al Oath of Office. I know this is involves different cultures and attitudes on sex, but this is a bit much.
