Welcome back everyone! We hope you had a great Fourth of July weekend and are ready to dive back into the world of late night comedy. Jimmy Fallon is not yet back from vacation (slacker) so look for him, as well as Kimmel, tomorrow. Today we're going with the triple-threat of Letterman, Conan and Ferguson.
Sarah Palin's bombshell announcement that she will resign as Governor of Alaska after she's barely past the halfway mark of her first term could not have been timed better for the late night hosts, who were looking for some solid material to ease their way back into the mix after their vacations.
Conan speculated about who the GOP will get to replace her (hint: a Real housewife!), and the lackluster support she received from even her own children. Letterman was concerned that she resigned because of something he said, but that's a story on it's own, so we didn't include it in the round-up. But you can watch it here!
Letterman also wondered 'what's the deal' with that Kim Jong Il? The two share something in common, however. Kim Jong's missile program is about as successful as Dave's honeymoon was.
Conan took a shot at the feud between the Little People of America and the FCC, but we're confident all involved have big senses of humor so not to worry!
Craig Ferguson is back from his USO tour and has several lively anecdotes. We know you'll find the USO's rules just as cumbersome as Craig did.
