We Queens people are no fools. He or she is planning what to do with the money, getting a lawyer, accountant, hotel room to hide out until everything is in place, etc.

Who writes these articles? How ridiculous to think anyone with a brain would come forward the day after.

A smart person would first assemble a team of lawyers and accountants. They would set up all the financial structures and legal frameworks for wealth preservation and tax minimization.

They you pick up the check, put it into the accounts, and disappear before all the long lost relatives and 'friends' start coming out of the woodwork.

Exactly. I wouldn't even tell my wife until everything was in place, include my self-sufficient armed-guard secure compound in the back country.

Wow! Even a story about the lottery is turned into an opportunity to take a shot at Obama!

GEEZ! Post this when the person's 180 days is almost up. From the headline, one would assume the person won the money a while ago, then claimed the money awhile ago, and now it is presumed that he/she has been knocked off. Maybe the person is trying to get his/her affairs in order, or they just don't know yet.
