Michelle Obama In Rome On Wednesday (PHOTOS)

After a three-night stay in Moscow, the Obamas touched down in Rome on Wednesday so Papa President could attend the G-8 Summit in L'Aquila July 8th to July 10th.

Upon arrival, the first couple was greeted by Italian President Giorgio Napolitano and his wife Clio Napolitano at Rome's Quirinale Palace. Mrs. Obama looked resplendent in a yellow frock, offset by a green ceramic flower brooch, and two-tone pumps. When the Obamas departed Moscow earlier in the day, the first lady and her daughters all wore red.

Later on, Mrs. Obama gathered with the other G8 wives toured the Capitoline Museum in Rome while Sasha and Malia ventured out for gelato with First Granny Marian Robinson. Later on, all the Obama women visited the Colosseum. Photos below.

First of all Michelle Obama may be nice but she can not dress. Being a Black woman I find it funny to hear people say she's a fashion icon when she is a disaster. I also received a email about the economy and tightening my belt, that's hard when I have such luxuries as food, daycare for my children, clothes, electricity and so on. I get upset when the Pres goes on a trip to Chicago and NYC for nights out. Don't get me wrong i understand nights out as a couple, but during times like these, he should use his head. There are lots of places to go locally. You can' inspire a nation when you appear to live it u. Yes it comes with the job, but you have to sacrifice like the rest of the citizens. Also having event after event in the White House costs taxpayers also. Michelle Obama said they wanted to open the White House, they have only done that for photo ops and famouse people, how about stepping up tours of the WH? I have been trying for over five years to get a tour through my Congressman and no joy. I love President Obama, I feel his wife is a person who plays to the camera when necessary. She's not Mom-In-Chief, her mother is, which is evident everytime they go somewhere with the daughters she's always there taking care of them. People are struggling, the First Family needs to reconize

And what the heck does your being black (which is probably a gotdam l.ie) have to do with Michelle being perceived as a fashion icon? Oh, that's right... nothing.

For your information that Chicago 'date night' was months ago and you had squat to do with that. Neither did any one.

From cute to obnoxious in less than six months! Malia and Sasha are travelling as part of the President's official visit. And yet, there they were, Malia in some real short shorts. And Sasha showing her bare feet in the limo. Remember, they are travelling on our taxpayer's dime. So, show us some respect. This is not a private vacation.
I voted for Obama and still have the greatest respect for him. But it is his family which will sink his ship. Michelle with her $1000 clutch bag? And not only one, but two! That might end up her Marie Antoinette moment. Obama always said he wants to have his Blackberry so he can have contact with his old friends. So he doesnt end up in the bubble. I sure hope those friends are real friends.

I hate the way the kids are dressed. True they are children but they need to look a bit more groomed imho. they are beginning to look like they do not have the time to dress their children properly.

I got a letter from the Dem Natl Comm with Pres. Obama picture and his plea for
me (and how many other people received this letter) to make a contribution for
the good of the economy.

How could anybody in their right mind ask the public for donations when average
America is really struggling in this economy and we see Congress and the
Pres. spending like the TAX PAYER IS THE GIANT CREDIT CARD.

Cut some of the salaries and perks that Congress get and then maybe I will be
happy to see the new Administration taking world tours and be so concerned by
what they wear and what they eat.
In the meantime, some people don't have decent clothes or a place to live or
not much to eat.

Start cutting government in the East Wing. With an over 1.4 million dollars in salaries and abut 15 staff for the First Lady who told the Washington Post she was working 2 days a week with all of August off I think a good place to start cutting is in the East Wing. This is all out of control.

Since Barack Obama is a red-blooded American male, he should do as the rest of us would want do if we were in Italy: visit the Ferrari factory in Maranello, of course! Ferrari doesn't give too many tours, but they certainly would in Obama's case.
