Emma "Hermione" Watson attended the premiere of 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince' at New York's Ziegfeld Theatre Thursday night looking lovely in a leather halter dress.
Watson, 19, is starting college in the US this fall at an unnamed institution and told People magazine how her one hope is that she does NOT get a Potter fan as a roommate.

I don't care for the leather look when there are so many beautiful materials available that are cruelty free to animals. I think leather is over.
God, I get so sick of this stupid argument. To the people who feel oh-so morally superior because they don't eat (or wear) meat: Do you have any idea, any at all, how many furry little critters are killed every time a field is plowed, planted or harvested for your food and "natural fibers"? It doesn't matter if it's local or organic. Unless you grow everything hydroponically in your basement, living things die to keep you fed and clothed. Sorry. Deal with it.
Silly argument. Yes, animals die. But you have a certain degree control over HOW MANY. And over how they live before they die.
Are you one of the more educated meat-eaters who pay at least some attention to the living conditions of farm animals? Or do you not care about that either because they inevitably suffer?

So strange that manhas been doing it for thousands of years. If you would like to see a culture who lived the most "naturally" I'd suggest you research native peoples of north and south America prior to the Europeans. You can where a buffalo hide, live in a bufallo home, use its bones as tools and its flesh as meat and still have great respect toward the animal.

We've evolved to the point where those of us living in a modern industrial society no longer have to wear animal skins to keep warm and protect our bodies. I can understand wearing animal skins if one lives in a tribal society, but in modern society,we no longer need to to do this.
