Jon Gosselin paraded his young new girlfriend around the South of France this weekend. Jon and 22-year-old Hailey Glassman - who's the daughter of Kate's tummy-tuck plastic surgeon - hung out with designer Christian Audigier on his yacht in St Tropez. They were casually holding hands and sharing private jokes.

The fact that our society celebrates losers like this and rewards them with a high end lifestyle for doing nothing (unless you consider creating a mob of kids to exploit so you don't have to work doing something) makes me ill. Hard working, decent people all over this country are losing their jobs and homes and this nitwit is living the high life- it is just wrong!

That's unfair to say, because according to the segments where the parents speak on the show, it's Kate who wants the show done for the money (supposedly going to the kids future), while Jon wants their private life back. He doesn't like the lack of privacy and the paparazzi and he doesn't even have to say he doesnt like it because its obvious in the way he behaves in front of the camera.

Many posters on this forum are under the impression that Kate had in vitro, which is incorrect.

Kate had polycystic ovary syndrome, a hormonal imbalance that renders a woman anovulatory. It's is treated with clomid or another ovulation-inducing drug. When one+ ovarian follicles are ripe, the woman takes a shot of Hcg, forcing ovulation. Ovulation is controlled by the Hcg shot, so intercourse or intrauterine insemination is timed to coincide with ovulation. Kate had IUI.

Clomid can result in multiple ovulation. USUALLY this means twins, as in the Gosselin's first pregnancy. The risk of TWINS increases from 1% up to 5%. A pregnancy with many implanted ova is uncommon, so the Gosselins expected hat they would have a singleton or perhaps another set of twins.

Kate was offered selective reduction, which is to terminate some fetuses to bring the pregnancy down to a reasonable number -- typically two or three. Selective reduction is offered because in a case of a large number of fetuses, the pregnancy usually ends in miscarriage. Kate refused selective reduction based on religious reasons, knowing that the pregnancy would likely end in miscarriage.

Even when clomid produces multiple eggs, there is no guarantee that any, some or all ova will be fertilized. The first Gosselin pregnancy would be a fairly typical clomid pregnancy, and the second an unanticipated fluke.

With in vitro in that there is greater control because there is the ability to exercise control in the number of embryos implanted.

Both parents are responsible for supporting those children according to their ability to do so. If Kate's making more money, then she has the larger financial burden to shoulder.

This is now in the courts, and orders will be issued as to how much each parent will be required to contribute to the children's financial and custodial care.

I hope, that as Kate and Jon stated on TV, they truly intend to leave the children in the home and share the residence so each parent visits the children during that parent's custodial time.

I also hope that the TV show is taken off of the air as I believe those children are being exploited.

I don't care about either Kate or Jon or who is making more money. I feel sorry for the children and the position their parents have put them in. I never watched their show and am not about to start now. Both parents should be financially and emotionally responsible for their children. When one has no job skills or apparent motivation to attain any, especially at this point in his life, it says alot about the individual. It also says a lot about an individual - or individuals - to have made the choices that they have and allowed their children to be in the position they are in. I repeat: run, don't walk.

Both J&K are spending what could have been saved for their children's future so fast it AIN'T FUNNY !

He's off to leisure, ski vacations in Utah and FUN IN THE SUN IN THE SOUTH OF FRANCE with his lady of the day, AND she: (Kate), whenever she gets a chance is off to picture perfect spots like sunny beaches in NC & California, with the kids of course, (HER CONTINUED MONEY SOURCE) !

But also toting her hunk of a body guard right by her side .....STEVE _______ !

In the beginning, this show was about their kids. Now its a daily TABLOID STORY about these two irresponsible, teenage acting people, who should not have had children in the first place !

Let's all boycott TLC, if they insist on putting this farce of a show on, showing Kate Gosslin and her kids. The money they get from this show is keeping them in a lifestyle that they should have to pay for doing real honest work. And Jon should have to go to work somewhere to pay for his own kids, and have less time for vacations that most working people could not afford !

I agree about the lavish spending of J&K. It's bad enough that they exploit the kids, but then squandering their money like they do---do they think they are going to be able to exploit their children forever?

Some of the earnings belong to Kate and some to John. Some of the earnings belong to the children. The percentage of earnings assigned to the children should be placed in a blocked bank account. A specified amount should be allowed to be withdrawn for the day-to-day care of the children, such as their private school tuition. Any additional requests for withdrawals for the children, should be subject to a court hearing and court approval.

I don't live in PA, but I'm at a total loss as to why someone hasn't stepped in to protect the children's financial interests. Maybe this will be addressed during the divorce proceedings.

Really, you think Kate is paying out of her and the kids earnings for their trips? No one can be that stupid not to understand those trips are paid for by TLC, Kate and the kids on vacation and it's filmed for their show. Who do you think pays for her body guard, TLC or the publishers of her books pays his wages I would guess.
Now who is paying for Jon to go to France I would guess it is his young girl friends family footing that trip.
If you have watched this show you should have seen Kate is a good money manager and like or dislike her she has showen everything she does is for the kids. I would wager there are 8 nice trust funds set up for the children. Just think if their dad gets a job there will be more money coming in to support this family.
