Every one of us straight guys grew up with these women and many of them were on our walls. They weren't the expectation we had of our own women. They were mythical and worthy of admiring for their moment in time that made puberty a worth while right of passage.

it's interesting that Ms. Cates is winning this poll so far. perhaps that's an indication of the age of the majority of male viewers of the website. Because i'm pretty sure every man that's about my age, that saw Fast Times as a kid, was forever mentally imprinted with that pool scene. i can hear the music right now. Now I agree that there is a lot of entertainment here, but that only adds to the overall value and diversity of the site, and it in no way negates the fact that there are many brilliant voices that would never be heard without venues like this. Plus, I have never seen a site with so many 'green' and 'living' articles that are seamlessly combined with international news and politics.
