I am glad to see that prohibition is losing its foothold. The United States has thrived on freedom since its inception, and continuing backwards prohibitionist policies will create nothing but economic trouble and citizen unreast.

The prosecution, rather than regulation, of potentially dangerous victimless activities is inherently judgmental, and not deffensible on an aboslute basis. Instead using taxe money to pay for prosecution and detention of marijuana users, the users could pay for their own rehabilitation via a tax on the substance.

The monetary and social costs of marijuana prohibition now are as real as they were durring alcohol prohibition.
