Sometimes you have to just stop everything because something is just too adorable. This video of a two-day-old sea lion getting a swim lesson from her mom is just beyond cute. I love adorable too but it gets tricky booting a lovable, unannounce­d, new crew members out of the sailboat when cruising the harbor in San Diego. If they only had hands to man the sheets and splice the mainbrace at the end of a good day. Rumor has it that they despise rum, gin and fruit juice. Oh well, it's why we sail, or something like that. Life, liberty and the pursuit of wildlife sightings. On the upside, they do know good fish, their sharing abilities, however, leave much to be desired. woONK.

Immediatel­y following the filming of this video, the baby seal was clubbed to death by a representa­tive from Sarah Palin's office. Governor Palin released a statement saying, "Today, we watched a young seal take its first tentative flipper-fl­aps into adulthood. And now it has taken its place, as God intended, as part of a beautiful coat."

Another aspect of the high quality of life here in Pittsburgh­....the wonderful zoo. I am so glad we moved here 3 years ago.
