Bill Clinton Backs Same-Sex Marriage

The Nation:

Former President Bill Clinton has come out in support of same-sex marriage.

After speaking at the Campus Progress National Conference in Washington, DC, on July 8, the former president was asked if he supported same-sex marriage. Clinton, in a departure from past statements, replied in the affirmative.

Beware of Clintons offering support! As with all things Clinton, every phrase is carefully parsed. What's missing from this latest declaration? It's any mention of repealing DOMA, the federal anti-gay law Clinton vigorously supported in 1996. There's also no apology for his cowardly contributions to Don't Ask .

The Clintons will say anything. What they do is always another matter.

Super. How about a sincere apology for signing DOMA.

He wasn't defending his won Marriage with Ms Lewinsky or the scores of other women who have admitted to having "sexual relations" with him over the last 30 years.

I could scream over these people! If he truly believes this, he'll put his money where his mouth is and work to repeal the bigotted law he signed. Sadly, I doubt he felt differently when he signed it. He's or Hillary are'nt running for any more higher office anymore. She's done too!

He was the one who implemented DADT and now he is in favor of Gay marriage. Oh yeah, don't forget racial profiling. You gotta love the Clinton's for they never miss to jump on every open opportunity they see. They will never change their stripe and I feel President Obama should watch his back, because Hillary still will run in 2012, and is planning to undermine the President. They are laying out their case, drip by drip!

Let me guess and if he had to do it over he wouldnt implement the policy of DADT too. Hindsight is 20/20 I suppose too bad he didnt feel this way when he had the power to make it a reality.
