Angelides Named Head Of Financial Probe

WASHINGTON -- Congressional Democrats announced on Wednesday that Phil Angelides, a former California treasurer, would lead a commission to examine the causes of the financial crisis.

The vice chairman of the panel, which has 10 members, will be Bill Thomas, the former Republican representative from California who led the Ways and Means Committee, who was selected by Republican leaders.
