This is a ridiculous idea. Hyrids don't deserve special parking, they deserve to be crushed.

This is a great way to alienate people moreso. It's bad enough that hybrids get tax breaks at both the state and federal level while American car manufacturers suffer, but special parking? Give me a freaking break. The majoirty of people don't want hybrids anyway, and people definity don't want to be told what to drive.

The "cash for clunkers" deal was popular because people got free money for a new car that they were going to buy anyway.

I will be parking in the special hybrid parking spaces with my 1996 Chevy truck that has sticker on the back window exactly like my photo.

While I respect the many that have posted steamy objections to hybrid preferred parking, you folks may be interested to know that national building codes are being reviewed and updated to require preferred parking UP FRONT and CENTER for operational EV charging outlets. The mere inherent need for controlling the costs of electrical outlet locations for EV's require them to be located, in most cases, as close to the buildings as possible (not necessarily the front door).

CHANGE is coming and people need to start opening their minds.

A total gimmick, and one that shows contempt for those who cannot pay the several thousand dollars more for a hybrid car.

Giving priority parking for handicapped people is understandable by all, but giving priority parking for the people that can afford a "special" car wont be accepted by most people. I would love to be able to afford a better car but its not about what I want its about what I can afford, its really not fair, and could be seen as class war.

Seems like a great opportunity for so-called "green" businesses to encourage other green behaviors...lots of opportunities here.

I don't care one way or the other, but it seems to me that a person who purchases a hybrid is possibly the same person who would walk a short distance to get to the post office, store, etc., so I don't know that it would make that big of a difference.

What's the carbon footprint of making the signs and installing them?
