In an interview with the evangelical World Magazine titled "The Taxpayers' Greatest Ally," Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC) had some interesting things to say about his work with his colleagues in the Senate:

"I am not going to be able to persuade my colleagues to do the right things, so I am just going to have to create pain."

Okay, that is a bit intense. However, it may not even be the most intense statement from Sen. DeMint this week. On a conference call this morning, DeMint discussed health care reform: ""This health care issue Is D-Day for freedom in America... If we're able to stop Obama on this it will be his Waterloo. It will break him."

Quick Poll

Which Comment Is Crazier?

Waterloo. Talk about inflammatory comments. And the historical reference makes no sense.

Pain. Scary, also... disturbingly kinky.

Neither. Makes sense to me.

Prior to World war II, health care was a combination of free markets and charity, with little government involvement.

There are 133,000 pages of Heatlh Care regulation.
WE ALREADY HAVE GOVERNMENT CONTROLLED HEALTH CARE!

Health Care needs to be returned to the free-market.
Government involvement created the problem.
More government isn't going to solve it.

Are you fully employed now and have health insurance? What if you lost your job would be able to keep your same coverage? Do you know how many people actually had medical coverage prior to WWII? Unfortunately, we have rationed healthcare in this country largely by price, as we've rationed other commodities. We ration how many restaurants someone can go to or if they can go to a restaurant at all by how much income they have. And we've tended to likewise ration healthcare by price. If you're very well insured, you're likely to have a better access to a wider range of medical technology and advanced medical practice than if you're poorly insured. So why not offer the people a choice.

Yeah DeMint keep telling those good christians at the evangelical World Magazine how you and your group are going to try to put and end to anything good that the President wishes for the American people. Tell those Evangelicals that its more important that the GREED of the healthcare industry should continue to flourish and that millions of people who have to do without healthcare are simply "collateral damage" and are "expendable". Who gives a damn about those people huh DeMint? The audacity of the President to wish for a decent healthcare program which could help millions and millions of people at the expense of curtailing the continuous quest for private corporations to make more money and even greater profits. How dare someone think about the good of the people. It's all about GREED and attempting to undermine our Government isn't DeMint?

It's not the Presidents job to worry about health care for Americans.
How about he work on protecting American sovereignty.
There's a job for the federal government.
How about they secure our borders and enforce our current laws.
They havent shown they can do the most basic of their responsibilities.
Why would anyone ask that they try to fix somehting that is not their responsibility?
It can be argued that Government involvement has caused the problem with health care.
Government involvement in the housing market didn't work out so well did it?

What a tragedy.
This fool is blind to the Americans who are dying, who have to decide: is it medicine or food or heat, blind to those who paid their insurance fees and went bankrupt when their health care provider balked on paying for a health crisis.
He decides to make a big, puffed up stand to defeat the President by standing on the bodies of those people. Then he goes home to enjoy excellent health care for himself and his family.
DeMint is a walking disgrace. An American tragedy.

...when blasphamous religion,

meets callous disregard,
meets blank slate stupid with
delusions of glory = "Senatard Dim-Mint"
South Carolina, you can do much better
than this vacuous ideological lummox.
(Hint: He doesn't fund raise very well.)

It is interesting that Joseph P. Riley, a Democrat, reigns over the Holy City in South Carolina and has reigned since 1975.

D-Day? DeMint was there? Maybe DeMint served in the military?
None of the above.

Waterloo is where coalition forces defeated the French Emperor.
Is DeMint saying if Health Care is passed, this is the end of Republican-Neoconism?

"Create pain." That is the one thing gops are really good at doing for the American people.

And what if health care reform is NOT Obama's Waterloo, but assures a permanent Democratic majority? What then, DeMint? More pain from gops for America?

I suppose this is the mentality of many in Congress these days. It's a bit sad and very telling. That there are those who are so desperate to see this President fail after only 6-months in office can't be a good thing for this country. ".....his Waterloo." ".......will break him." Has it really come to the point that some are willing to forget that they represent the American people??
So glad that I served 20 years in the military to have the government of the country I love and am very fortunate to have been born in behave like petty children. The American people voted the man into office. He is OUR President for at least the next four years. The election is over. Please get to work on what you were put into office to do and for which you are extremely well paid.

These ppl sit around and read and tell stories about how they "won" the civl war. Yes, I said won. I grew up in the south and there are many white southerners who still believe that. They are not willing to compromise on anything. Lincoln tried to negotiate terms that african slaves, would stay enslaved until 1900. The southerners said no. As an AA, I'm not thrilled by either party. Lincoln saw the south becoming too strong and the south wanted to have it all their way.

This i d i ot is just saying what many of them are saying privately. The good thing is that he ticked Obama off. That's good for those of us who need healthcare. I think Obama gave them way too much time, intially. I think he thought he could charm them into doing the right thing. A black president charm these ppl, there was never gonna be a way for him to do that. I hope Obama, has finally gotten it.

DeMint is apparently into the teachings of the C-Street House brand of "dominion" religion with an ultimate goal of world domination. They follow a Seven Mountains Mandate.

The C-Street House is owned by Youth with a Mission, a non-profit group founded by Assemblies of God minister Loren Cunningham in 1961. One central theme of the movement is that if you are not in the Assemblies of God and/or Youth with a Mission, you are part of a "satanic" world.

The group has thus far maintained its rather secretive operational atmosphere - that is to say until two lightning bolts named Sanford and Ensign struck the house. It also sponsors the morning prayer breakfast all Republican congressional representatives attend.

The Seven Mountains Mandate:

And, surprise, Sarah Palin is part of this movement. You might want to also check her out being anointed and given protection from witches by a Seven Mountains pastor from Kenya, Rev. Thomas Muthee:

Palin, DeMint, and Sanford are all directly or indirectly involved with the C-Street House where DeMint is apparently a resident.

This group has succeeded in getting their claws into two governors and several congressional representatives. Frankly, they are scary as hell.

These right wingchristannutz need to be permanently put out of business, I think the roomies at C
Street all have men tal ill ness issues. Thinking they were called by God to serve proves it. The voters are the ones who make that decision.

This group has also succeeded ingetting their claws into the U. S. Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton. Google it.

It's the typical GOP posturing and pseudo-sense of bravado by a bunch of ego inflated bloviators that have nothing better to do with their time than to make ridiculous statements and have nothing to offer.

Is it true that Gomer is a resident at the C-Street House in D.C.? If so, then he and Sanford are in with a bunch of world dominion whackos that want to infiltrate Congress and reach the White House. Any ideas or knowledge about his involvement with C-Street House?
