Buzz Aldrin Punches Moon Landing Conspiracy Theorist In The Face (VIDEO)

CNN interviewed the hosts of the show "Mythbusters" about the conspiracy theorists who believe the Apollo Moon landing was faked, and the their extensive efforts debunking the claims of the Moon landing deniers.

However, buried towards the end of the interview is a gem of video of Buzz Aldrin, famously one of the first astronauts to walk on the Moon, being confronted by one of these moon landing skeptics several years ago. The man angrily calls Aldrin a "coward" and a "liar." Aldrin tells the man to get away from him, and when he refuses, Aldrin promptly punches him in the face.

The conspiracy theorist tried to sue Aldrin but the judge threw out the case.

Nobody needs a PhD to read and make his own opinion. On the other hand, this is not because you have a PhD, or even a Nobel Prize, that you could not be wrong or be a liar. Remember what happened to Long-Term Capital Management. They went bankrupt having on the Board of directors Myron Scholes and Robert Merton who shared the 1997 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences.

9/11 is an inside job and there in no other explanation.
Now, who did it is another question: Israel, Bush, Cheney, CIA, NSA, others?

This Mythbuster's episode was fantastic. They go through some of the major contentions of conspitacy theorists of various points of evidence that the moon landing was faked, and they very carefully and explicitly debunk them with some really great and interesting experiments. It's really intersting if you can find it out there on the interwebs.

My company hired Buzz to do a corporate show for us. Buzz was a pure hero, and I think he was wwell within his rights to defend himself for being impuned. There used to be a thing in America about protecting your honor, which is exactly what he did. Good for him.

I haven't researched yet the moon landings, but I have researched the comments posted here. I can conclude that the establishment story supporters are very violent as their comments show that they all support punching the one questioning the official version of events.

I don't think it's a condoning of violence against people who disagree with your piont of view.

I think it's a matter of understanding that if you have on one hand a man who went through an incredibly dangerous, challenging, and grueling experience, and on the other hand a man who gets in this first man's face, stating that this never happened, that they are a liar, and that they are a coward...then it is understandable that the first man may lose his temper in light such an eggregious assault on his character.

In addition, the police determined though eyewitnesses that Sibrel was poking Aldrin while he was up in his face and that Aldrin was lured to the location by Sibrel using false pretenses (saying it was an interview for a children's show).

If "Big-Al" had really researched the comments, he would know that Aldrin was defending himself from a person who was in his face, making outrageous accusations, and being vioIent.

Buzz Aldrin, first man to laugh on the Moon.

At the time of the Apollo 11 Moon landing, TV had a mock up of the Moon landing site, as part of their coverage. I knew people at work who AT THE TIME thought the Moon landing was faked and that the TV stations were presenting the mock up as real. So this conspiracy theory has been around from the beginning.
