DEAR HUFFPOST: I just read the article. Your headline says SPENDING $1.6M. That's a lie. They are "spending" (current tense) $655,000. They have SPENT (past tense) the balance. I could care less about the government, really. But you are intentionally misleading the public with that headline. Really, you should change it. It's a boldfaced (and capitalized) lie.

I'd be interested in learning the name of the ad agancy that received the contract. There's a good chance they've got friends in high places. Consulting contracts are a way around the oversight for hiring. Millions are being handed out for reports,st­udies,etc.­,.
