Peters

Hey, everybody! There's a war on! And when there's a war on, it is the responsibility of every perfumed and pancake-makeup padded pundit to puff themselves up with every ounce of fake bellicosity they can muster from the safety of their news studios. And so that's why we have retired Lt. Col. Ralph Peters suggesting before all the facts are known, that maybe the Taliban should do us a solid by killing the captured Pfc. Bowe Bergdahl. At least someone has the guts to be this pointless!

PETERS: I want to be clear. If, when the facts are in, we find out that through some convoluted chain of events, he really was captured by the Taliban, I'm with him. But, if he walked away from his post and his buddies in wartime, I don't care how hard it sounds, as far as I'm concerned, the Taliban can save us a lot of legal hassles and legal bills.

[WATCH]

Yes, apparently the punishment for alleged desertion is execution at the hands of the Taliban. Cheers to Peters for the heroic way he pretends to have a personal stake in this matter. Truly an inspiration to us all.

I wonder what it is like to be a member of Bergdahl's family, at this moment. I'm guessing this segment really helped them put things in perspective.

Why doesn't this guy come to Hailey Idaho and give a public airing of his views?

This shows, once again, that neither Fox News nor its stable of pundits support the United States of America, its ideals, its Constitution, or its people.

The loonier the tune, the better for ratings.

When all of a culture's values are subsumed by commercial values ( in the case of TV, delivering viewers to the peddlers) this is what you get.

And the louder some politicians howl about "values" the better the chance they have been bought and paid for by the merchants.

Ralph Peters has a history of being absolutely batsheet crazy.

He started off making a lot of sense. My alarms really went off when I first heard this story. How does a soldier "wander off" base? There's something really hinky here. But no matter, because for Peters, a military man, to advocate the execution of an American citizen is beyond belief. I think those statements should find HIM in front of a tribunal. We don't have all the facts, and if that soldier is ki11ed, he'll have a lot to answer for.

Really, it's not off base IF (being the operative word) what he suspects is true. But I agree, he'll have a lot of walking back to do if this guy was snatched.

The DOD has said there is no evidence to suggest he deserted. So faux is entertaining a former military man to say to the taliban, "hey, go ahead and ki ll him, it's ok cause I say so". And these are the "real" Americans. These are the "patriots". But anyone who disagrees with bush's war of choice is treasonous and anti-American? They sink further in the mud each day and it is beyond me why anyone in this country chooses to listen to them and then quote crap they say as fact.

Peters may not understand this never having been in combat himself. But troops go outside the wire now and then when they should not.

Over confidence, friendly with the locals, in love, the chance to grab a drink, bored, etc

It happened in my dads war. It happened in my war. It appears to have happened in this war

Peters having never attended a 2 way firing range has no clue what actually happens when one does.

Peters is a disgrace to the uniform he once wore and the CIB he never earned.

People all over this country are furious at this little tin soldier Peters. I just wrote FoxNews and told them that as a blogger I would take them to task on every site possible. There is absolutely no excuse for the manner in which Peters attacked our young serviceman who is in captivity at the hands of the Taliban. We do not know how that young man was captured. Peters' assertion that we should allow the Taliban to kill him to save our taxpayers money is abominable and unpatriotic.

I also told FoxNews that I will write every newspaper in my state and apprise them of my feelings.

Every privately owned Fox radio and TV station in America should be shunned by the public.

Lastly, I told them we bloggers will write their advertisers and a tell them we will no longer buy their products because of the unpatriotic conduct of Peters and FoxNews acting jointly.

I wonder. Rupert Murdock was in the Australian military during WW II. As a combat soldier, does he approve of this two-bit tin horn Peters?

I've been wondering for a long time why we don't all just boycott Fox's advertisers.

There's more than enough reason to, and as we know the only place you can hurt a conservative is in their pocket- they don't care about morality or honor.

The same reason you don't boycott MSNBC, CNN, CBS and others...because they are in the business of presenting the news and having guests and analysts who are free to offer an opinion.

I've always believed that conservatives care about their own money more than ANYTHING else.

Thanks Ralph. Careful not to chip your paint when you scrape that support the troops bumper sticker off your car....

Oh, I see, it's a magnet, your support for the troops doesn't have to require any effort.

Nice.
