Judd Apatow's upcoming film "Funny People" had its Los Angeles premiere Monday night.

Almost the whole cast (sadly no Jason Schwartzman) turned out, including Adam Sandler, Mrs. Apatow Leslie Mann, Seth Rogen, Aziz Ansari, RZA, Jonah Hill and Aubrey Plaza.

Two other stars on the red carpet, with their parents, were Maude and Iris Apatow, familiar to fans from their previous roles in "Knocked Up."

In addition to the cast were a host of other comedians, including Chris Rock, Jimmy Kimmel and David Spade.

These guys are so funny. I love the shirt Seth Rogen is wearing with the Super Jew emblem. Just found it here. Gotta get one.

Thank you. If the trailer is any indication the movie will be equally unfunny as are all of Apatow's movies.

Jimmy Kimmel should dress up a little if he ever wants to get a better time slot:

Is the title of this movie meant to be ironic? No one on the planet is less funny than Adam Sandler, Seth Rogan and Jonah Hill.

I'm sure they are individually funnier than the sum of you, your family, and everyone you know.

Jeez! Would Leslie Mann even have a career in film if it weren't for her husband?? Apatow casts her in all of his films. I'd be shocked if she got a job without him as the director or one of his friends involved.

Maybe he gave her a start, but she's held her own. She was a sceene stealer in 40 Yr Old Virgin and was great in Knocked Up.

She met him when she was the love interest in the Cable Guy, so no, she does not owe him her career.

Nepotism is at an all time high right now.

She happens to be quite funny so cut her some slack. It's like Helena Bonham Carter in Tim Burton movies--- whatever brought her there is irrelevant. She does a pretty damn good job.

i totally agree with you. yes, she may have gotten some roles herself before judd but she sure as hell wouldn't be cast in all of these if it weren't for being conveniently being his wife. and no, she's not that funny--not more so than a dozen other actresses that could have gotten the parts that she's been handed in apatow's movies. she may have had other parts but not a career without him.

The title makes it sound like a movie about Fanny Brice's family.

Im half Swedish and I wonder if the Apatow Funny People trailer in which Rogen's character says to a Swedish doctor that he cant build his Ikea cabinet, would be willing to use the same humor about Jews?

Of course that wouldn't be kosher, due to the backing of this movie, that is: reaching waaaayy back to when sandler was NEVER funny on SNL, yet got himself a movie career out of it, also being not funny. Now SNL is hobbled with the in-too-many-scenes-and-never-funny andy samberg. He should be about 2 years from starting his own brand of such trashy movies that will make him and his relatives and friends in NYC millionaires.

Wow, Apatow is clearly all about nepotism. Being married to Judd Apatow has worked out pretty well for Leslie Mann. And no one else could clearly play her daughters onscreen than...her daughters offscreen.
