Jon Gosselin Plays On The Swingset With Young Girlfriend (VIDEO)

"Jon & Kate Plus 8" dad Jon Gosselin looked like any doting dad pushing a girl on a swingset, slipping down a slide and holding her hand through the play structure, only he wasn't with any of his eight kids, but rather his girlfriend Hailey Glassman.

New Manhattan resident Gosselin played around with the 22-year old in a state park on Monday in front of a hoard of photographers, a week after returning from St. Tropez with the daughter of his wife's plastic surgeon.

His brood returned home with estranged wife Kate after a Saturday photo shoot for TLC.

When you are the father of 8 children their happiness and well being should come first. A commitment was made to these kids by their father who has chosen finding himself and his freedom to be more important than them. Children of divorced parents know where the commitment goes when they compete with distance, girlfriends, and selfishness - in the trash.

I don't think I have ever seen him with his kids. I don't watch the show but the hp updates keep aggravating me. Who moves a state away from their kids? Who moves into an apartment that cost more than the house he left but is too small for his kids to come visit? Everyone keeps saying Kate was a wench but you know what, this guy ain't no prize.

I wonder if he's still the "spiritual guide" of the family, going to church with the kids every week and getting paid to speak at megachurches around the country. Or does he go to Mark Sanford's church now? Oh religion... that flame you claim guides your life, that you try so hard to push on others, until it becomes in convenient to your immediate wants and needs and you dump jesus as fast as you dump the rest of your adult responsibilites.

Did you see this program? That wife of his was a shrew. I never saw such meaness, shamelessly on display for all the world to see. She did not even care that the whole world was watching.

I am female and even I felt sorry for him. It was especially sad because their children had to listen to her speak to their father this way. How will the sons treat women? Probably be abusers after watching their mother treat their dad like garbage.

It was not all this guys fault.

I only ever watched the show once. In that episode they were shopping in a supermarket and she just kept screaming and yelling at him like some diva yelling at her lackey on a film set. I pretty much just wanted to strangle her. But, hey, it's just a show. I don't actually know these people.

I agree. She was abusive to him, and I'm appalled at the double standard. If he had said the things to her that she heaped on him, you'd have heard the outcry. She told him to stop breathing on one episode because it annoyed her.

I was a controller and a single mom for several years. You know that saying...it takes one t know one. Except she was far worse than I, and so far out on a limb that when it broke, the break was permanent.

John moved on a very long time ago. She knew it, she just refused to admit it to herself. She wanted her happy little world on TLC to continue. Remember Kate said that 'the show must go on.' It must go on? At what expense? Her marriage now, and what next?

Kate only did what Jon let her. He knew who she was. She needs to control situations and Jon sits on the sidelines. He never took over. She always had to lead him in everything he did. When you have 8 small children they become the focus of everything you do. Jon wouldn't do anything unless Kate told him what to do.

They are us and we are them. To look at them is to look at us. And, contrariwise, them looking at us is like them looking at themselves. Although, we're not on television, so the possibility of them seeing us (or the majority of us either one-by-one, or in a pair, or, for that matter, all at once, which is ridiculous as there are what?...300,000,000 of us?) is probably not much of a possibility at all. Anyway, my point is....uh...?
