We need to stop the corruption by Goldman, bank of Amerika, and Jp Morgan. Stop the Geithner and bernanke. . Obama's policies may not be working as well as many had hoped:

1st 100 days - There are 2.9 million more people unemployed in May than there were unemployed in January. The unemployment rate went from 7.6% to 9.4%.
Since May 2008, we have lost 5.5 million jobs.
The biggest losers were: Manufacturing 1.5 million lost Finance
& Prof Serv 1.5 million lost
Construction 1.1 million lost
Retail & Leisure 1.3 million lost

you're off topic. but, since you're here, i'll address your comment:

you are absolutely right, we must stop the corruption in macro banking. i don't believe the domestic financial policy is working.

however, the jobs lost were on the chopping block since last year. in '07, corps decide to cut expenses through labor cuts for '08 first quarter. after first Q stats come in, they make more cuts. many businesses use the atmosphere of wide spread job cutting just to jump on the bandwagon. they may not even need to make cuts, but since the technique is so profitable, they do it anyway.

many corps are politically motivated to cut jobs just to make the administration look bad. 'EVERYONE'S DOIN' IT" is a familiar corporate mantra, whether its fees, cutting benefits, or cutting jobs.

the elite don't care about us.

obama has 3.5 more years to get his arse out of hot water and become the hero again. he IS a chess player, so we don't know his game. but so far, it's not impressive on the domestic front. foreign policy, so far i'm ok with.

meanwhile, in the event obama is not worth re-electing, we need to identify and publicize trustworthy replacements for all political offices. if millions can vote on who is best on american idol, they can do this. it must be done.

Score one for the "panties in a bunch" crowd. Guess nobody can laugh anymore... the people who spoke out against this ad are clearly in the group who did not choose the biscuit holes... in other words, they are the a-holes!

I'm betting that they feel that, because the biscuit holes are called b-holes, donut holes should be called d-holes. Duh.

Whatever, the ad has gone viral twice over by now. It's definitely done its job. The target audience loves it. The team that created it is genius.

It's a shame that a major Hardee's franchisee doesn't understand his target market. Does he ever humble himself by manning the drive-through window of one of his 350 restaurants at night? If he did, he'd know that the christian fundamentalists and protective parents aren't the ones buying 1/2-pound fast-food burgers and biscuit holes. It's 18-30 year-old bachelors.

Whatever happened to Charlie the Tuna who thought Star-Kist wanted tunas with good taste?

Apparently poor Charlie got canned.

I've seen the original ad a few times and still don't understand what they're trying to sell...

Even HP's censors would have been on board with this one

That is too funny! The person who designed the Ad is either brilliant or out to lunch! In either case, my (very limited) awareness of Hardees has been raised in a positive manner...I think in Advertising lingo that means the Ad worked.

A choice between b-holes and a-holes? Sounds like the choice between a Democrat and a Republican.

After 45 years in advertising, I am still amazed at the number of large companies that will put their entire reputation into the hands of a fresh from college copywriter and art director—often juvenile—who come up with a 30-second concept that costs millions to produce and run. Does anyone remember when commercials used to be smart, funny and understandable?
07:15 AM on 07/23/2009
Does anyone remember voluntarily looking at any sort of ad?
10:24 AM on 07/23/2009
Hmmm. I thought the ad was "smart." I thought it was "funny." And I sure remember it and get the point it was trying to make; therefore, I think it qualifies as "understandable."

With your self-described "45 years in advertising," we might be around the same age, but you've got to open up a bit and maybe lighten up as well. In a You Tube/Twitter era, that ad is going to be seen by many more folks than a lot of "superior" productions that go nowhere. Personally, I'd give that "fresh from College copywriter and [juvenile] art director" a raise.
