'Inglourious Basterds' UK Premiere: Quentin, Diane Kruger, Rihanna & More (PHOTOS)

Quentin Tarantino's WWII epic 'Inglourious Basterds,' the movie that stole the last ten years of his personal life, premiered Thursday in London.

Diane Kruger, who plays a German film star and Allied spy, turned heads in a mini LBD while Rihanna paraded her Woody Woodpecker coif. Mickey Rourke and Neve Campbell also showed up.

Sadly, Brad Pitt, who stars as a Nazi scalp-collecting lieutenant, could not attend as he is in LA with the kids while Angelina visits Baghdad.

'Inglourious Basterds' opens August 21.

I am looking forward to seeing Brad in this movie - he has worked on other movies where he was a violent 'warrior' type - he is a very very good actor.

pity the poor directors who are strong armed in signing pitt to their movies. money's tight, pitt amazingly sells tickets, hollywood moguls want a surefire hit , hence, use pitt or no movie funding.

Was Brad PItt scheduled to attend and then didn't at the last minute? I'm surprised that he didn't attend the UK premeire. Anyone else surprised that he didnt' attend?

Pitt has been trying to distance himself from this movie since the badly received premier in Cannes. The very next day Pitt claimed that he "was drunk when he signed on."

No suprise to me that he didn't show up.

Rubbish, Pitt was joking that he agreed to star in the film after 8 bottles of wine - most certainly not to distance himself from the film; if anything he was trying to make a point that he became Tarantino's buddy that day.

reservoir dogs was a little better than pulp fiction, which was a little better than kill bill, which was a little better than jackie brown, which was a little better than the awful death proof.

shymalan has infamously had the same downward trajectory, going rapidly downhill on every film since sixth sense.

i think the comparison is accurate, if unflattering.
