Colbert Helps Hannity By Scaring Crap Out Of Americans About Health Care Reform (VIDEO)

In a segment called "Health Care Hell-Scare - Die-agnosis: Mur-DR" Stephen Colbert picked up where Sean Hannity left off: Scaring the crap out of you about Obama's health care plan. Last night, Hannity hosted a show about the president's plan that called it a "universal nightmare," "universal health care scare," and "absolutely deadly." Sometimes we think Colbert's job is getting too easy.

Colbert began by explaining that he doesn't want to terrify you, but "inform you with terror or terroform you." He did this by bringing "real victims of European style medicine" out to answer viewer questions. The first was a Canadian man in a "coma," the second was a French mime who couldn't speak up when he disagreed with Stephen, and the third was an old clip of Salvador Dali.

What I found frightening about Colbert's report wasn't the terrorforming. The real scare was that he was making more sense than the Fox "News" casters and he's using satire.

I was a bit s disappointed when I saw this skitt, for although Colbert was just trying to make fun of the scare tactics that are going on, I was afraid it still sent the wrong message to viewers, who maybe do not understand his humor. He could have done something more obvious like "such good healthcare for free that people cannot believe its really true" skit.
Its sad and scary to see that we may be voting ourselves OUT of healthcare we needed the MOST....because we are letting insurance companies talk us out of "scary public healthcare­".competit­ion for them. When could anybody trust an insurance company for profit? Yet most of us are doing just that! Falling flat on their backs, and rolling over and letting insurance adds stab them in their backs! "Bravo, intelligent people!" I AM being sarcastic here!!!.in my last quote.

It's not the best Colbert segment, is it? However, I think most people would get the point that he's satirising Hannity's ridiculous exaggerations and not "helping" him.

I have always said that we, the tax payers, should vote on and approve the governments Health Plan and they should vote on ours... That way, they will have to look to us for what ever we decide to give them, much like we have to wait, and wait, and wait, for them to decide what we, the tax payers (who pay for everything, including their Health Plan), get as far as health care.

Call it "checks and balances" if you like....
