Top Ten Things Overheard At Sarah Palin's Farewell Party (VIDEO)

Huffington Post   First Posted: 08/25/09 06:12 AM ET Updated: 05/25/11 02:45 PM ET

Letterman

Sarah Palin will step down as Governor of Alaska tomorrow and for David Letterman the moment can't come soon enough. The feud between the two wouldn't die, despite the fact that she accepted his much-debated apology for joking about her daughter.

When news broke that Sarah Palin was resigning, Dave took several shots at the soon-to-be ex-governor, saying that we knew Obama was in Russia cause "Sarah Palin [could] see him from her house," and asking "was it something I said?"

Last night's top ten list was a round-up of all the jokes he loved to make about her. Sort of a farewell to Palin humor as well as Palin. "You Betcha," "I can see Russia from my house," and Todd all made appearances, along with a shot at the incoming Alaskan governor and a final "I win" message from Dave.

Remember, the best thing to do is NOT to take this woman seriously.

Serious responses only legitimate her position.

Better to enjoy her on Twitter where you can converse with @saruhAI

Dave... you're the greatest. Hang in there with the Sarah Palin schtick every nite. It's not getting old, or tired,or irrelevant.

Dave is very funny and it doesn't take a genius to watch the whole "I am suspending my campaign" fiasco by John McCain to realize that Dave will always have the last word.

Palin and her supporters need to not be so thin-skinned. Lighten-up. The world won't end because someone make a joke about "your gal".

Now that Palin is gone, perhaps Dave can make fun of Pelosi considering that her approval rating is 24%! A lot less than Palin and she is the Speaker of the House!
11:17 PM on 07/27/2009
Pelosi is speaker of the house. Palin is a quitter.

Give Pelosi kudos for sticking around and taking it on the chin. When the going gets tough, the tough don't run away.

Pelosi didn't given Dave the ratings victory the way Sarah has.

I don't know what's on your mouth, but there's some kool-aid in it, I can see it dripping out the corner of your mouth...

Diarrhea ON the mouth? Maybe letterman is just way over your head.
05:42 PM on 07/27/2009
You think she's gone, she's not gone - that's the whole point. She's NEVER gone...

It's not nice to make fun of the developmentally disabled. But it sure is funny.

Dave Letterman: Saying those little things we're all so politically correct to say ourselves.
Keep it up, Dave. While there's all kinds of self righteousness here, it appears your ratings are still up there.

No wonder Letterman keeps losing to the Tonight Show. He's one trick pony. Sad.

Then why is he beating the Tonight Show in the ratings?
05:51 PM on 07/27/2009
He didn't when Jay was there. Dave hasn't been funny since about 1986.
02:45 PM on 07/27/2009
its what dave does. its his job. shes easy material. thats not his fault.

This is not the latest (19th) ethics complaint filed against her that was found to be valid. This complaint didn't even make it out the door.

Good try, but no cigar.
09:27 AM on 07/29/2009
Nonsense! If Palin has been found guilty of anything of substance, that would be headlines in this blog for weeks.

Also, there are a couple of stories on the Huff Post about complaint dismissals, and every story that talks about new complaints mentions the dismissals.

You actually have to read stories to discern what is in them.
