What's Your Reaction?

MSNBC has an alarming report about the extreme weather conditions happening across the country. In Texas, half the corn crop is dried up, lakes have disappeared, cattle ranchers are selling cows early because there is no grass to graze on, and 77 counties are designated as having exceptional or extreme drought conditions. Historians say this drought is virtually unprecedented, and there is no relief in sight.

this is my first texan summer: the beauty of 107-degree days is that when it's 97, you get excited about the prospect of wearing long pants...

the worst part is seeing how many people are affected adversely by the economic climate and how much of a toll this takes on the ability to deal with the actual climate.

Calm down everyone. This is nothing that a few tax cuts won't fix. Right?

The solution is large-scale complex agroforestry:

NOTHING TO SEE HERE FOLKS... please move along. These problems that are happening in Texas have nothing to do with Global Warming. Global warming is just a liberal propaganda tool to bring America down to her knees. On behalf of Texas and the former president of the USA who have denied global warming for years, if you have anything to say against this way of thinking, you will have to step behind the barb-wired FREE SPEECH ZONE down the street. MOVE ALONG or Sgt buttchin will give you a taste of his boot!

Climate change hoax? That must be why Obama just released the NOAA satellite pictures of the receding icecaps BUSH hid from our scientists.

FROM CNN’s Jack Cafferty LOL:

Global warming has become a religion among the “First World urban elites.”

That’s just one of the explosive charges made by Australian geologist Ian Plimer, who says man-made global warming is little more than a con on the public perpetrated by environmentalists and politicians.

According to the Vancouver Sun — the controversial geologist says that global warming is not caused by human behavior, rather it’s an entirely natural phenomenon.

By looking at a time frame going back thousands of millions of years — he says the changes in the Earth’s climate are cyclical and random. For example — polar ice has only been present on Earth for less than 20-percent of geological time; and animal extinction is a national part of evolution.

Plimer shoots down the current logic that global warming can be reversed. He gets especially worked up about carbon dioxide, saying it’s actually at the lowest levels it’s been for 500-million years.

I'm interested to know what Australian geologist Ian Plimer thinks of the Pacific Garbage Patch, or the 12mile algae along the Alaskan coast...

If he can't lend a hand, then he better get out of the way...

i think he is lending a hand when he exposes our folly of hubris in trying to control the planet.

All that is important in our country is whether Obama was really born here, right?

But, don't we all know there is no such thing as climate change or global warming?
Senator Inhofe said so on teevee.

Mbwahahahahaha!

The conservatives will not believe in climate change until there is a huge disaster. Texas runs out of water completely, a Category 5 hurricane hit's Maine (Or hit's the gulf coast and tracks all the way to Utah). Then when this happens they will claim to have been warning us about Global Warming for years.

This is obviously Obama's fault.

Wow! That kind of weather usually comes between mid-September and late October. Here in Hawaii, coffee-picking season usually starts in late April or early May. There's been ripe coffee since March--the time the coffee trees are usually blossoming.

And good luck, stargazer. As far as I'm concerned, this period will come to be known as Great Depression II.
