ok. I figured the people at UF's preview were just tryin to please the parents but COME ON! They said that, we were not the biggest party school, and that the list everybody was referencing was "unscientific." They were only talking about the Playboy List. IDK all I can say is my mom is now convinced that UF is a "non-party" oriented school.

All I can say is that a friend who is also going to UF (summer B) was drunk the whole first week of the semester. lmao. Best 4 years of my life.

Re: Your comment: "Where are my fellow Hawkeyes? On Iowa, and GO HAWKS!"

You couldn't have said it better in your first post! I had a great education at Iowa... and attended great parties too. GO HAWKS!!! Also, regarding Sara Pailn, she likely wouldn't have been accepted at Iowa... Iowa DOES have standards, you know ;)

For the Iowa fans on this site... let's hear it "In heaven there is no beer, that's why we drink it here....."

You know I've heard that:

back in the 1980's when MDMA - ecstasy was legal and pharmaceutical The University of Texas was the unchallenged Number One Top Party School - of all time. Austin was the center of the Universe. If you weren't around then- sorry You really missed IT. Nothing today can reach that Apex or even compare.

So it is said...

Bartol027 is right. People who weren't even around then still talk about that era at UT. I've heard plenty. Surely it ranked in the top 12.

Also, wasn't MDMA first produced in Dallas and wasn't Austin like the distribution center for the nation back then?

I'm a Nittany Lion, and actually I feel much more pride in the fact that PSU has one of the top graduation rates for kids involved in athletics.

How was this determined? It seems that schools with high numbers of students are in the top 20. Is it because the students are the ones voting? The more students you have the more votes you're probably gone have.
When I went to Northern Arizona University we had something like 70 fire alarms in 2 months because of all the drunk students lighting up in the hallways and purposely setting them off. 99% of the students just slept through them after the first week. The bathrooms were so disgusting on the weekends that I would have to go to sneak into the girls room so I wouldn't have to worry about slipping on puke or finding a stall without feces sprayed everywhere. It was trully wild times for my circle of friends. I hope that janitor's salary was in the 6 figures because he TRULY deserved it. During the second month or so I can remember the cops busting several students for turning their dorm rooms into marijuana plantations. Weed was every single place you went and when I was a senior my friends were shocked to learn that I had never smoked and never would. I had lists of 5-10 parties every weekend.
I will admit that there was a very distinct lack of drugs more serious than marijuana though. Is this why it wasn't mentioned? hmmmm... Or perhaps the current students are woosies.

If this Princeton Review release is as well-researched as most of their other offerings, I wouldn't freak out if your school made or didn't make the list.

Chico State would still be number one if Chico, Ca didn't pass all of those ordinances to drive partying out of town. Playboy magazine ranked them in the '80s and Chico was number one, with Miami U at number 2. I visited Chico on Halloween of '93. Wildest night of my life. The parts I can remember, at least.

There's a huge state school in ~*Eugene, Oregon*~ that's not in the top-20. Eugene! We're all of those students' responses sent in too late or something?
