Brad Pitt Shows Up At 'Inglourious Basterds' Berlin Premiere (PHOTOS)

Though he was absent at the UK premiere of 'Inglourious Basterds,' Brad Pitt showed up for the movie's premiere in Berlin on Tuesday.

In the Quentin Tarantino WWII epic, Pitt plays a lieutenant out for grisly revenge against the Nazis, Diane Kruger is an actress and undercover agent and Melanie Laurent watches a Nazi commander played by Christoph Waltz kill her family.

'Inglourious Basterds' opens August 21.

I think that since Tarantino based the movie on an older one by Enzo G. Casteralli, he probably spelled it that way to differentiate. Or maybe just be different, I don't know.

I don't think much of him as an actor, but he was really good in Babel and a movie called The Devil's Own. He is hit and miss otherwise.

This movie looks ridiculous! What was Quintin thinking? This movie is destined to be a flop. That is why Brad is trying to disconnect himself from it. I'm sure he's embarrassed. Too late. Brad looks like a drunk!

From what I've seen of the trailers - it looks like a ripoff of the "Dirty Dozen" - Lee Marvin, Jim Brown, etc.

Til Schweiger looked familiar - he was in King Arthur with Clive Owen and Stellan Skarsgard. Usually I like Owen and Skarsgard but I didn't really care for that movie. Schweiger was a good villain, though.

I loved Jackie Brown. I always watch it when I see it's on. I liked Seven Years in Tibet. Benjamin Button was boring and looong. Brad kind of seems like a dweeb to me and Angelina is personality- disorder city

I am really amped about this movie. Tarantino has been talking about this film for years. Instead of watching the bootleg sites online I think I will go to the theater and check this out.

I can't get passed the casting for this movie. Could they not have found somebody a little less male shiksaish than Pitt for the role?

He sells tickets, as a matter of fact, very small list of actors that sell as well as him, and guessing others had other projects/lack of interest etc.

This movie looks like it's going to bomb. Tarantino has lost his edge. "Reservoir Dogs" and "Pulp Fiction" was a long time ago. Lately his movies have been awful. He is too violent. He always looks drunk now. I wanted to give him a chance. But I'm so tired of "Nazi" movies. He could have been a little more original.
I have a feeling that this movie will do horribly here in the U.S.

Gee, I don't think I've read even ONCE yet that the people the movie is supposed to depict were in jail for kidnapping an elderly person and trying to steal her money.
