The thing I don' t like about Kerry and McCain is that both of them did all they could to sweep the MIA's in Vietnam issue under the carpet.
I understand that many folks are still bitter about the stolen election of 2004, but most of the criticism of Senator Kerry is WAY off the mark.
"finally, something of substance"? that just shows a complete ignorance of Kerry's record.
Poor John Kerry...still trying to appear relevant.
John Kerry is the chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, a position which makes him a major voice on both foreign policy and the upcoming climate change legislation. On the former, his position is enhanced because he was the leading foreign policy surrogate for Obama in 2008. The latter is because he is seen by Democrats and some Republicans as the leading voice on this issue in the Senate. Here is a NYT article on his role on climate change. http://www.nytimes.com/cwire/2009/07/28/28climatewire-former-democratic-standard-bearer-takes-glob-40866.html?pagewanted=2 You might notice that he is very well respected in the Senate.
Senator Kerry is extremely relevant and he deserves to be.
What a load! Look at his ultra sparse record of bills he as sponsored that actually became laws...no fair counting "resolutions' that aren't worth the paper they're printed on. Kerry is one of those "that were there' when something happened.
Good move VP
How about a commission on cutting our 800 overseas military bases
costing us 200 BILLION a year.
