Bloomberg Powell

NEW YORK — Former U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell has endorsed New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg's re-election bid.

Powell offered the endorsement Tuesday during a taping of the "Larry King Live" show on CNN. He calls Bloomberg a great candidate and an "independent guy who is always trying to solve problems."

Powell is a Republican who was raised in the Bronx. He supported Democratic President Barack Obama.

Bloomberg is a billionaire Republican-turned-independent running for a third term. He says Powell's nonpartisan leadership is something he's always worked hard to emulate.

Civil rights activist the Rev. Al Sharpton has endorsed Bloomberg's leading opponent, Democrat William Thompson Jr.

Wait. Is this another democrat "dictator" circumventing the laws regarding term limits. Does Michael Bloomberg wish to rewrite the city's term limits law so he can seek a third term. And by doing so, we can indite Colin Powell for collusion because he is endorsing Bloomberg thereby breaking the law.

Wasn't there another dictator recently throw out of a country for trying to pull a stunt like this. Maybe the NYC Police and city council can do the same to Bloomberg.

Sorry, but an endorsement from Powell is meaningless to me, this man is greatly responsible for the financial mess we are in right now, by giving credence to the Bush/Cheney regime and giving them the cover they needed to invade a sovereign nation, they bankrupted our country and destroyed thousands of lives, based on the lies told by Powell at the UN.

4,000 service men and women gave their lives in Iraq to fight for democracy.

Then General Powell endorses an anti-democracy dictator.

Fercrissakes.

Today we learned that Bloomberg is getting rid of the homeless by giving them a one way ticket to wherever they want. He says it is cheaper then putting them in shelters.

I wanna see them stats. Do these people ever return? Where have they gone and how do they get there?

I respect General Powell, but disappointed he would endorse someone like Bloomberg who clearly believes in Aristocratic form of government.
