Maureen Dowd: "I Love Sarah Palin" (VIDEO)

Maureen Dowd phoned into the third day of "Way Too Early With Willie Geist" at 5:45 am on Wednesday.

Dowd talked to Geist about her Palin column and expressed her love for the former Alaska governor.

"I love Sarah Palin. I mean, I love her more than anyone. As a journalist she is the best story ever," Dowd enthused. "You've got this former beauty queen and sportcaster who's in the role of Dick Cheney... She is the first person to ever fuse politics with reality tv."

Maureen Dowd said that Tim Geithner was a cute nerd as she was hoping for Geithner to be confirmed. Hes done so well assisting our country into bankrupsy but Dowd is so much smarter than Palin who did a great job in Alaska and left with a 54% approval rating even after being trashed by the press for eleven months.

All of us should love Palin and hope that she is the Republican nominee. Please, please, please...Let there be a Palin/Bachmann ticket, the perfect opportunity for America to achieve universal health care, support for science education, protection of civil liberties, etc. Not because they will bring it to us. No, they will serve as the movtivators to get nonvoters to vote. We would have a good chance of re-electing Obama or electing someone more progressive.

If a Palin/Bachmann ticket is too much to hope for, perhaps Palin/Tancredo or Palin/Perry or Palin/Inhofe...or Palin with anyone who avoids reading or believes the earth is less than 10,000 years old.

When Ronald Reagan's Federal Communications Commission (FCC) was stacked with Republicans and they decided it was a good idea to auction licenses to the airwaves to all their rich friends instead of restricting how many stations could be owned by corporations, that's when the wealthy Republican owned corporations snatched up all the airwave access and journalism went the way of the dodo. We only hear what they want us to hear now, and all the stations including the internet "news" sites all run the same feeds. They are the Borg, and resistance is futile. We have been assimilated. Actual muckraking journalists have been frozen out, no one will employ them, no one will broadcast their stuff. As Americans, the "free press" has been co-opted, and we are fed pap and blather, i.e. Michael Jackson, instead of facts. When someone like Michael Moore tries to give us facts, the "machine" just swirls its cotton candy fluff and portrays him as a Cassandra whose madness should be ignored. That's why we still don't know who was in Cheney's energy meetings, where George Bush was when he was supposed to be serving in the National Guard, or who the Saudis were on those planes right after 9/11. We can't handle the truth.
