hate hate hate. sure green collar is a ridiculous title and i'm not sure what they mean by it, but sustainablity and efficiency aren't to be shrugged off. courses in these topics should be a core part of higher education, because operating efficiently and sustainabley is a good thing for any and all industries. It's better for the planet, its better for business, its more profitable, leads to better service and product... no argument.

sitting around saying that its all for nothing is ignorant and speaks volumes of yourself. there's literally a fortune to be made as more of us accept sustainability as a rule, not only moving forward but cleaning up after ourselves.

Agreed and there are many ways to incorporate "green" into current occupations. An example is my husband and I have a construction Co and just got the bid on 3 large and what will be profitable jobs-- we are a certified "green builder" because we have invested a little time and money getting the proper training for ourselves and our employees. On these major projects in a bad economy only between 2 to 4 companies bid on any of these jobs. Most jobs we bid on can have up tp 20 others bidding---but thats okay--they can snooze but we are growing and actually hiring in this bad economy.

Bait and Switch. In the end, the only jobs will be part of the occupation of Afghanistan. Obama already promised it. He just called it something more caring.

Looks like a bachelor's in art history may no longer hold the title of "world's most worthless degree."
