Orly Taitz Melts Down On MSNBC, Blames MSM "Brownshirts" (VIDEO)

First Posted: 9/3/09 Updated: 5/25/11

Orly

The conventional wisdom is that August is the slowest month for news, thus it's tailor-made for the "Birther" movement -- crazies that come hand-delivered to the media in their month of need, like barrel-dwelling fish that shoot themselves. Today, they're waving around a supposed "Kenyan birth certificate" for President Barack Obama without regard to the fact that it would have to have come from an alternate reality where Kenya became Kenya before Kenya was Kenya, and on which Obama is said to have been born in a city that was actually part of Zanzibar at the time of his birth. It's all pretty awesome and fun and now everyone's getting in on the "let's all forge up some birth certificates" craze. It's August 2009, and America is precisely where our founders envisioned we would be.

On Monday, David Shuster and Tamron Hall hosted celebrated "Birther Queen" Orly Taitz, who is a walking Saturday Night Live character, possibly played by Chris Kattan, come to life. The resulting discussion was, as you might imagine, pretty special! Taitz came on, speaking as if in a panic, presaging her answers with complaints about CNN, referring to David Shuster as a "brownshirt," and making oddball claims about how "85% of Americans think Barack Obama was not properly vetted."

Anyway, this is like Shuster and Hall attempting to interview an angry Fraggle.

[WATCH.]

We remind you that the Birther Lunar Cycle of Mania may hit a peak tomorrow, August 4, because it is President Barack Obama's birthday...IF HE WAS "BORN" AT ALL. MWAHAHAHA.

Is this woman for real? I mean, her name is 'oh really'. After seeing her on the Colbert Report i had the distinct impression that she was in character. Now THAT would be hilarious.

God bless President Obama. The birthers have nothing on him. They have been exposed for their lies.

Obama was being blamed for all the nation's ills as he was being sworn in.

I felt bad for her, I don't like seeing anyone get shouted down without having a chance to actually answer a question that isn't loaded. Then again tamron was great with her. I do have sort of a weakness for russian women though.

She's got to be the female version of Sacha Baron Cohen.

This woman is a perfect spokes person for the wingnuts! Eventually the GOP will be relegated to fringe status and Obama can stop worrying about bi-partisanship

Herein lies the basic problem with the craze of commentary versus news. Commentary is entertainment, not news. This entire story is worth "x" number of minutes, or column inches detailing the issue, the facts, and then let the reader or view decide. The media has created these nutjobs, whether it's Bachmann, Coulter, Taetz, Limbaugh, etc., by giving them continual airtime. This whole 24/7 constant yammer has grown cold and stale.

She claimed to be a lawyer, dentist and real estate broker. I don't know how she earned that credintials but I suspect that she made that up just like how she made up the so called birth certificate. Is she US citizen?

I agree with you.. She also made up the 85percent of americnas believe Obama was not vetted enough.. She must not have seen the primaries

I wish this crazy lady was live sitting next to Tamaron. Tamaron would punched her lights out LOL.

while i agree that she's a whack job, they need to ask a question and let her answer it ... when she's done, then do a follow up to debunk ... but they just dismiss her at every word ...

it was like watching beck, hannity or limblah doing an interview with a liberal ... never really letting the other person speak ...

I agree. Part of the problem is these so called "news" shows rarely take the time to adequately examine a topic. Instead it is a rush to the next commercial. The phrase "we'll have to leave it there" is so common on these shows for that reason. Nothing ever gets resolved in any legitimate fashion. Instead there is mostly shouting at each other, with the hosts claiming they are running out of time. PBS with it's longer in depth interviews makes these "news" shows look like a joke. The best way to dismantle this woman is to do the homework and rebut her talking points, instead of engaging in personal attacks.

The only person attack I heard came for Orly.

They have assembled the facts but Orly and her kind will not listen. Let's call a spade a spade. It is all racial and there is not enough convincing for these bigots. They will never except a president who is not a white male.

I couldn't agree more. They should just let her run her big mouth and hang herself and the Birther movement she founded!

precisely ... let her words prove her stupidity ...

I would definitely choose David Shuster and Tamron Hall to be the ones to calm me down after a bad trip. Stellar.
