The Kyle and Jackie O Show Rape Revelation Sparks Controversy, Cancellation

An Australian morning radio show, The Kyle and Jackie O Show, has been suspended following a lie-detector bit wherein a 14-year-old girl, when asked if she is sexually active, revealed that she had been raped, the BBC reports.

The radio show saw the girl strapped to a polygraph machine as her mother - who had volunteered to be on air - quizzed her despite apparently knowing she had been assaulted when she was 12 years old.

[Kyle] Sandilands was accused of further insensitivity when after the confession he asked: "Right, and is that the only sexual experience you've had?"

Now that The Kyle and Jackie O Show is suspended, past content that may also be overly offensive is being purged from their website's archives, Mumbrella reports.

Among the items that have been removed since the end of last week are those featuring people stripping for money and a search for a man with Sydney's smallest penis. A photo gallery of presenter Kyle Sandilands taking part in a race to produce a sperm donation has also been removed.

It appears that most of the items that remain on their Kyle & Jackie O page involve jokes at the expense of staff rather than the public.
