Chuck Norris On Birthers: "I Agree With CNN's Lou Dobbs"

In a column Tuesday, actor and conservative political figure Chuck Norris argued that President Obama should release his birth certificate. Norris said that he finds it "a bit of a groundless stretch" to believe the president is not from Hawaii. Yet, he tells Obama, "Refusing to post your original birth certificate is an unwise political and leadership decision that is enabling the "birther" controversy." And he adds that the president's alleged reluctance suggests that he does have something to hide -- even if he was born in the U.S.

I agree with CNN's Lou Dobbs, who was chastised by his own media outlet for demanding the release of your original birth certificate. Why was that such a bad request? [...]

Mr. President, as more and more people realize that you are refusing to release your original birth certificate, further questions will fuel the fires of debate or at least hinder the embers from ever being snuffed out. Questions such as, "Does it really contain the Hawaiian physician's name?" "Does it disclose something other than his birthplace that he wishes others not to see?"

Dobbs, like Norris, has said he believes Obama is a citizen. He was just covering the controversy, which the president himself should put to rest by releasing the paper. However, Dobbs "coverage" has included such leading statements as, ""I'm starting to think we have a document issue. You suppose he's un... no, I won't even use the word undocumented, it wouldn't be right."

I disagree with Chuck Norris' politics, but he surely is a good martial arts specialist and actor. He's also a great humanitarian when it comes to helping others. Wish if he was a liberal

I would be glad if Bruce Lee had a chance to face Chuck Norris in a match. It would be very interesting. But both are so intense that one or both would have been injured quite badly. Bruce Lee was one of the best martial artists in the history, he is missed

In the US Virgin Islands, there is only a short birth certificate. It measures 5 12 in x 5 1/2 in. There is no long form. I delivered babies and dealt with birth certificates all the time. I have my original form from Indiana and it is not the long form. What is everyones problem with what he showed.

He has already met the qualifications to become president; why does he have to submit to another search to appease an angry mob looking for any pretext to lynch him? It's the mob, Chuck -- they are the problem. Chuck should direct his comments to the mob and try to interject a note of calm into the hysteria. Show us you have the courage and integrity of Walker, Texas Ranger. Stand up for what's right Chuck, not what's wrong.

Lou and Chuck, the reason why the President ignores the request is not because he has anything to hide (the license is already out there) but because it is a ridiculous request and only worth ignoring. Did anyone ask for Bush's birth certificate? With all the stuff going on with GOP folks we can't even be sure that Bush's mom was Laura or that his dad was Bush senior let alone that he was born here and was a citizen of this country. For all practical matters he did more damage to this country than the terr. att.ac.k did! He might as well be a non-citizen. So, knock it off and let's get to the more important things at hand ... it is not like GOP folks have any ideas how to fix things anyways. They just love swift-boating!
