The most important words in that speech.... fellow Americans.

Bolton, Morris and that ilk should be ashamed of themselves. They should feel deep shame.

Do you wonder if their tune would be different if Bush (I know that is crazy!) had been the one to bring them home?

This Clinton mission was successful because of President Obama's Foreign Policy that is open to solve problems and difference of opinions is to seat down in open dialog unlike the Foreign Policy of the Republicans bastardly and dastardly solve problems and differences with bullets, bombs, killing and looting. This is another victory of Obama's foreign policy this democrats victory.

Imagine if Republicans would have been in power what would have been the fate of these two ladies. Anyone can guess death and nothing but death. Bill Clinton of course deserves a national congratulation for this successful mediation to get the two American nationals back safe home from the mouth of the shark alive and unharmed.

The world observed with interest the American Democrats mental up brings so humane and the mental upbringing of the Republicans so mean and inhumane which is incomprehensively divergent being the citizen and public leaders of the same country. However, the is the sad part of the country and its history.

albeit we weren't privy to the actual release from her captors, but her speech seemed an arid recital of what she thought the expectant throng of reporters wanted to hear. Badly staged and horribly annoying. And those fake sniffles killed me.

She and her colleague were nearly starved to death in a communist country. She deserves a tiny bit of slack for her remarks not quite equaling The Gettysburg Address.

Do you spend every moment at funerals silently critiquing eulogizers too?

Funny. Lisa Ling stated that the women were treated very humanely..."nearly starved to death" - stop making stuff up.

Bill Clinton signed into law, with the help of a republican congress, the bill that repealed the Glass-Steagall Act which caused this recession and has cost the tax payers 24 Trillion thus far. Yet you celebrate him as he regularly vacations with the Bush family. You're being hoodwinked by both sides of the aisle. Just look at how Arlen Specter has not only been welcomed with open arms by the DNC, they are even supporting him against a real democratic challenger. Please wake up.

the biggest contributor to this recession is Republican Sen. Phil Gram. Most economists acknowledge this fact.

The Obama crew's skill is driving Republicans bat$hit crazy. If a Republican president had pulled this off (like killing the pirates a while back), the right would be hailing him/her the best president since Reagan. Listen to the discredited Neo-Con John Bolton badmouth the administration over this. It's beyong absurd. This should not even be a partisan event. As Americans, we should all be very happy for the safe return of our fellow Americans, irregardless of who pulled it off.

Talking, contrary to the Republicans disinformation, usually works. WWCD (What Would Cheney Do)? He probably would have threatened nuclear attack, or just let the reporters rot, figuring they were liberals, anyway.

Welcome home, ladies, and congratulations to President Obama, President Clinton, Vice President Gore and Secretary Clinton. All of this had to be very carefully coordinated to appear as unofficial, non-negotatied diplomacy. You can bet that President Obama was well aware of all the plans, and it took Bill to pull it off. Thank God that there was no obstructionist viewpoint at work here, nor personal pride or ego, but the concern was for the greater good of these two women and the American people. It was a master stroke, and they all come out looking great as far as I'm concerned. Well done!

Just shows what a committed diplomatic esprit de corps can do when secondary gain is put aside. Truly an inspiration for all of us.

Dee Dee Myers said when Kim Jong Il's father died in 1994 Clinton sent a letter of condolence. Kim remembered that and that gesture helped this situation 15 years later.

I have always believed that no good deed goes unnoticed. It is a small world and we all must coexist. It is easy to do nice things, and everyone should keep this situation in their heart and mind. You never know which good deed or what kindness you perform will pay off for you -- so just keep being nice all the time. It's so easy!
