Stewart Slams CNN & Fox For Coverage Of Clinton's North Korea Rescue (VIDEO)

Jon Stewart was positively giddy last night, not because American journalists Euna Lee and Laura Ling were released from North Korean prison, but because Bill Clinton is in the news again. "THE BIG DOG IS BACK," Stewart yelled jubilantly as he danced to the "Shaft" theme song. Clinton flew to North Korea and secured the release of the two Current TV staffers who had been sentenced to 12 years hard labor.

Stewart's glee didn't last long, though, as he moved on to the coverage of Clinton's trip. CNN had nothing to say so they discussed how airplanes operate and showed color bars of North Korean TV. Fox News, on the other hand, was upset that the journalists were freed in the first place. John Bolton said the situation turned out better for North Korea than the U.S., and Dick Morris argued that the journalists should have "lived with the decision to go there."

"Does the sun ever shine during a Democratic administration? With Obama in office now when babies laugh do you hear only the sound of kittens drowning?" Stewart asked, before eviscerating Fox for their choice in anchors.

ABC,CNN,FOX..I know these corporate media venues censor our news all the time. Without exception the news from any of these 3 outlets are slanted and censored toward the conservati­ve/corpora­te agenda.

I don't watch CNN but I do hear their new breaks on the radio. These news breaks always promote the usually false notion that the Democrats are losing ground on pretty much everything they do. They are always first to shout out any news they can regarding Obama's ratings if they've dropped. I have noticed for a long time that CNN is quite biased and being much more sophisticated than Red-Neck FOX, I consider it more of a threat to Democracy and truth in general. As of late, there has been a long overdue backlash to CNN bias and ridicule towards Democrats.

Ever since Campbell Brown's unbelievable dis to Sen. Dennis Kucinich while giving no coverage to his articles of impeachment, I have known who CNN is. Progressives should not watch CNN. Let their ratings slip into oblivion, they deserve it.

I love Stewart because he is smart, educated and knows what he's talking about politically...we need more John Stewarts. I agree with you textynn I used to watch CNN when they appeared to be more fair in their news coverage. I'd say something went to their heads over there. Starting with Lou Dobbs who is no more Independant than Mitch McConnell. His unfair bashing of the President is inexcusable. Then we have Cafferty who responds to viewers emails by telling them to leave him alone. I've written to CNN and told them I'm no longer a viewer and why. Do they care, I doubt it! I don't know why they dont just call themselves Fox II. And speaking of Fox, they are not a news agency, they are actors and not journalists. I've heard nothing but distorted/out and out lies with their reporting, to the point is it sickening. My issue is the amount of people that buy into their BS, like the townhall people protesting against the healthcare bill on issues that aren't even in it. They wave flags, interrupt townhall meetings and do not even know what they are protesting. Janene Garofalo is right, it is a frontal lobe problem with them.
