"Spider-Man" Musical Production Delays?

Is the upcoming "Spider-Man" musical stuck in a web of financial woes?

Variety reports:

Extensive work being done to prep for the technically demanding show, both in the shop constructing the physical production and in the theater where "Spider-Man" is due to bow, is said to have stopped this week.

The Hollywood trade publication says "cash flow obstacles" may be to blame.

The show, which is set to star Evan Rachel Wood and Alan Cumming and feature the music of U2's Bono and The Edge, is supposed to begin previews in February of next year.

If anyone (other than Andrew Lloyd Webber) can get through all the dire news about this show, it's her.
She will not have it any other way.
Taymor's know for being a demanding perfectionist.
Especially if the project's her baby.

I hope this never sees the light of day. I saw Edge and Bono talk about this on the Jonathon Ross show and they didn't even look that interested in it. Why would a band that has written so many inspiring songs resort to a superhero musical?

Um, hate to burst your bubble, but I am thinking of "Truly, Madly, Deeply". Methinks U2 has dabbled in bad superhero lyrics before!
