GOP Sen.: Let's Not 'Rumsfeld' The War In Afghanistan

WASHINGTON — A Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee says more troops are needed in Afghanistan and is warning that the U.S. must not 'Rumsfeld' the war.

That's a reference by Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina to Bush administration Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld. Rumsfeld was criticized for not putting more troops in Iraq to secure the country after the U.S.-led invasion in 2003.

Graham says that if NATO allies don't commit more troops and money in Afghanistan, then the U.S. must because Afghanistan is central to the fight against terrorism.

In Graham's words: "We made mistakes in Iraq. Let's not 'Rumsfeld' Afghanistan. Let's not do this thing on the cheap."

Graham appeared Sunday on CBS' "Face the Nation."

Let's be sure to do the opposite of everything the conservatives suggest, it's sure to be the right thing, if they oppose it.

Remember, no small government has ever led millions of people successfully, ever. No government that never taxed it citizens was ever able to provide anything. By definition, conservative governance is not governing.

The real funny thing is that these same hypocrites, that want 'less government', and 'Washington out of our lives', will run screaming scared to the hills if all the cops and firemen were fired and prisons closed and prisoners set free. They'd use the public highways one last time to get as far as they could from all the brown people, dig fox holes, and wait for them to take revenge for all the injustice they know they've committed, and rightfully so, I'd be the first one looking for them...

We cannot go on the way we have. We must live up to treating all equal, and conservatives have only one voting block still exclusive to them. They are a dieing breed and America is much the better for that. When they are finally gone, and we can hold our head high and join the rest of the world. That will be a truley proud moment for America.
