Emails Show Bush White House Staffers Joked About Following Orders Like Nazis

Newly released emails from the House Judiciary Committee show Bush staffers Scott Jennings and Jane Cherry poking fun at one another in the wake of a Washington Post article revealing the political firing of U.S. Attorneys.

In one instance, Jennings claimed he simply "followed orders," which prompted Cherry to ask: "Isn't that what the Nazis claimed?"

As Americans we are disconnected from reality sometimes - the word Nazi is NEVER used in Europe as a descriptive adjective and seldom if ever spoken even against ones most ardent nemesis. Why? Because to invoke its comparison to anyone is utterly downright ingeniously unconscionable and unrealistic.

For example, Nazi's immediately executed Jews and vagrants - the officers (some) would immediately who had a 'tattoos.' The Nazi's used the skin collected to make decorative lamp covers and other things! This is one example of their heinous atrocities against humanity which I have seen the by products of in former concentration camps.

Personally I take umbrage and offenses to the president of the United States of America being described as a Nazi. It is wrong and goes too far.

We ought to be pushing back hard against these people before they commander the public discourse completely.

It is the former president and staff that were N/a/z/i/'s and knew it! It just gets censored off sites like this and then the label is allowed to stick on Obama the inheritor of all the fallout. Kind of smart on their part to somehow cause that to happen but that is why most of the posts stating what Bush was and what they have done are not here. Makes you wonder who is running the 'moderator' censors here doesn't it also too?

The difference is only in the degree to which they "succeeded" -- that is, sank into ever more extreme depravity -- when allowed to rule for an extended period with no opposition. But the strategies, tactics, contempt for the rights and feelings of others, and sense of entitlement were and are exactly the same.

And, as more and more detail emerges about the torture program, the farther we see they actually DID sink into extreme depravity.

Did they murder millions? No. But that's not because they were more virtuous than the "other guys" -- only that they weren't able to achieve the same degree of control for the same length of time.

I am not surprised as they will "vehemently deny" any inappropriate behavior existed and those e-mails were fabricated by martians and aliens from the former planet of Saturn.
