Ruth Bader Ginsburg Wears Gloves, Michelle Obama Keeps Cool At Sotomayor's Reception (PHOTOS, POLL)

Justice Sonia Sotomayor is no slouch when it comes to jewelry (see a slideshow of her impressive collection here), so First Lady Michelle Obama stepped it up in the accessories department at a reception welcoming the Supreme Court's latest addition.

Entering Wednesday morning's event in the East Room, Mrs. Obama wore a swing-y summer dress with a turquoise brooch on the front, and a medley of chunky bracelets.

Justice Sotomayor wore a somber black skirt suit, offset by bright red nails and a pair of coral earrings. Her mother, Celina Sotomayor, went for earth tones, wearing a printed wrap dress with a pearl necklace and earrings.

But the reception's real star was Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who traded in her black robe with lace collar for a gold robe and lace gloves.
