Lady Gaga poses topless and smeared in lipstick on the cover of OUT! magazine. Inside, she talks about her love of all things gay. Here are some highlights from the interview:

On her early gay mentors:

"I had a few gay piano teachers. I was in acting class and ballet from a very young age, and I remember being around a lot of gay boys in dance class. I feel intrinsically inclined toward a more gay lifestyle."

On her own sexuality:

"I myself am not a gay woman -- I am a free-spirited woman: I have had boyfriends, and I have hooked up with women, but it's never been like 'I discovered gayness when I was dot dot dot.' "

On her love of gay culture:

"I very much want to inject gay culture into the mainstream. It's not an underground tool for me. It's my whole life. So I always sort of joke the real motivation is to just turn the world gay."

I can't understand why people see so much significance in off the cuff and probably tongue in cheek comments. She used the word "joke" herself.

In my opinion, Lady GaGa makes the world a brighter place. I hope she will be around for a long time and I think that this will in fact be the case.

I've listened to her album. She has a pretty decent voice. And with all of the talentless celebs getting much press these days, I'm sure we'll be seeing her around for at least another album or two. It's quite sad that the people with actual singing ability that do not flaunt their physical or nude attributes don't get more airplay.

Personally, I think she need to drop the blonde bombshell rip-off from Madonna, Christina Aguilera, & Britney Spears. It's getting a bit dated and cliche.

So thirty years from now when Ms GaGa (out of boredom, perhaps) decides to try her chops at politics and all this is brought up, how will she treat it? As youthful indiscretion? Will she be intellectually honest and appear before the camera in a vinyl hobble-dress and toe-spikes to debate economic policy with her opponent?
