David McCusker, Actor In Ad Battling Swine Flu, Comes Down With Swine Flu (VIDEO)

Via the Hollywood Reporter we learn that an actor who appeared in a UK ad about how to avoid getting swine flu has in fact come down with swine flu.

The Daily Mail interviewed David McCusker:

Mr McCusker, 30, from Sutton, Surrey, said: 'I was supposed to 'Catch It, Bin It, Kill It'. But instead I've been shivering, shaking and spreading it.

'It was a shock when I found out. I quarantined myself and I've been getting lots of stick from mates.'

If we had a real public option, getting the swine flu would not mean thousands lost in lost pay and medical bills to so many of us. I can't understand why the government is focusing on police control of a panicked population rather than setting up clinics in schools, office buildings, colleges, county government buildings, and mega-churches.

Indeed. Our left wing commie brand of healthcare is just so evil! Except what was that I saw on World News with Charles Gibson yesterday? USA will only have a third of the swine flu vaccines it needs in time for the vaccination programme? Oh, and the United Kingdom's National Health Services, clearly rationing so much... have ordered 90 million doses. There will be prioritisation, (RATIONING OMG!!!!!) you know giving it to the most susceptible people first, based on proper clinical judgements. You know, rather than economic judgements. Rather than giving it to the richest first, which is what happens in your wonderful for-profit system.

I don't think we even need to go that far to find the source. The partly American owned pig factory where 'patient zero' was found was undoubtedly where this thing was incubated in the cess-pools of run-off waste. Smithfield Farms moved production to Mexico in the first place (via NAFTA) after receiving record environmental waste fines. It's called the 'NAFTA FLU' in some circles. Most if not all of the viral scares come from Agribusiness: 'Avian Flu' from Chicken factories, 'Mad Cow' from meat plants, including all the E-Coli outbreaks. All in the name of profit. To use an already over-used term; These flus and viruses are just the symptoms of a larger disease -the food we eat and how it's manufactured. The fact that we can say the words food and manufacture in the same sentence should speak for itself. These are the results of these 'Frankensteined' foods.

Actually I remember reading in the earlier part of the year, that the first case DID come from Mexico....the thing about it is that it came from an American "monster pig" farm or whatever that technical name is for these massive "farms" that some corporations run. How can scientists/doctors not notice that when humans over-breed (especially in small environments) animals of ANY kind, that the ecosystem that they are building in, retaliates by changing the system to DEAL with the overburden? This is exactly what the planet is doing.....we inject small to large influences into the world's ecosystems, and then stand back and ask "I wonder WHY we have swine flu, melting ice sheets, unbelievable rates of cancers, and levels of discontent and anger on a global scale. When we start to live within the boundaries of our local ecosystems, and operate in sustainable and replenishable means, we will see a change for the better. I don't want to drop a bowling ball in anyone's cereal bowl here, but we need to stop trying to live forever, and stop trying to save every single newborn that would not have made it outside of human medical intervention. We have over-populated, over-polluted, and over-utilized this place.....and we wonder why things are looking like a train wreck? *sigh*
