Haaaa. I was going to comment on his legitimacy, but everyone else has done it already! Good work kids. Our eyes are opening up slowly but surely... (too slowly, but I won't complain).

Egypt has been one of America’s greatest allies in the Middle East. Its brutal dictator government propped up second only to Israel in terms of monetary and military aid. If this son of Mubarak plays his cards right the American voting and propaganda machine will be right there to ensure that "democracy" wins the day.

Who cares about the realities of life in Egypt, the ongoing human rights abuses by the government and US support for yet another twisted dictator. As long as perceptions at home are stroked by the media what does it matter?

Real democracy in action, wouldn't you say? The type that the United States likes to see in the Middle East and those other countries whose natural resources it exploits.

Anywhere else it's condemned and demonized by the same hypocritical and sanctimonious US lawmakers and media as dictatorships, even when the elections are transparent and have the seal of international approval as in Venezuela.

Rashwan noted that it is no coincidence that Gamal Mubarak flew to the U.S. with his father just days after holding an online chat forum for 12,000 Egyptians. "Those kinds of interviews are very welcomed in the West as they're seen as a sign of democracy and reaching out for the youth."

An interesting definition of "democracy".

In any case, it's nice to see one of the democrats we support in the Middle East visiting our country.

The Egyptians help Israel when the tried to bomb Gaza into oblivion. They are still helping them by keeping their border shut.

The puppet of the USA and ISRAEL is the most corrupt and criminal of all. The USA professes democracy when in reality supports dictatorships. We are nation of pathetic politicians and criminal elites.
